You mean Transformers Animated? It's one of the best TF shows next to Beast Wars. It's great, fun for all ages, and has great characters and story.
I really liked Animated, second only to Beast Wars in my book. The first season is a little iffy but Season 2 up are pretty solid all around.
Just be aware that the third season has some lead ins to future episodes that never happen due to it not getting a 4th season. There's really only one or two like that, but everything else sort of just wraps itself up on its own. But yeah, give it a watch. If you can make it through the first season, it gets REALLY good in the second and third season. Just... going to have to put up with Season 1 Sari and the pacing.
I didn't care for the look of the show, the aesthetic was just too stylized for my taste. That said though, the show is great. The writing and stories are some of the best out there. I love the show even though I don't really want to own any of the toys.
as did I. Really dont get the love this show gets. The only cool things I liked about it was the little easter eggs all over
No offense, but this isn't exactly the right thread to talk about Animated. XD However, I think Animated is... meh. It's not my favourite.
It's easily the best transformers show IMO. It displays such a love for the history of the franchise and mixes it up into a glorious representation of how fun transformers can be. Clues with probably the deepest writing we've ever had it takes the dynamic of Beast Wars and refines it even further. I would give up having any more tf shows ever for one more season of Animated. It means that much to me. (Oh and I HATED it when it started. Goes to show how opinions change!)
It's a testament to how great the show is when it wins over many fans who initially hated it with a passion. Easily light years better than Prime and the Unicron Trilogy.
Animated is wonderful. My favourite Transformers cartoon by miles. Characters have big, bold personalities, the writing has a sense of humour, and (unlike Prime) the show can competently handle ongoing plots and character arcs.
Exactly. I can't think of another tf show which not only competently moves all its core cast along a well defined character arc but ALSO manages to tell the individual stories of how each character got to where they were at the beginning of the show. Amazingly executed.
It was a good show, not the best, but entertaining in its own right. The animation can be off putting, but it does grow on you. It's storytelling is hardly flawless, but definitely engaging. First season is a bit wandering, but I like to think that was the writers trying to find their groove.
Yeah, the rants (usually to myself) about how bad the show was, actually gave it a PROPER chance by Ep5 and went out to by the main Autobot cast -Bulkhead (curse you availability) course by the time I found the Voyager the superior leader was on clearance but that's another story... which I've just told most of now damn it.
I'm glad that the recent DVD release and the nods in AoE have created a love-in for TF:A. I was pretty depressed when it was canceled in 2009. It was just a beautiful series, by fans, for fans.
i am a big G1 fan and i think Animated is freakin awesome. its got to be my favorite after G1. my son and i have been waiting for season 3 on dvd for like 3 years.
Could of easily been the best series in Transformers history had it went on. Since it didn't, it's just slightly behind Beast Wars.
