Was thinking about ordering my first tformer from them but was curious how reputable they are. They are so much cheaper than everyone else and I'm not sure why. Are they located in China. How is they're customer service and so forth.

Thanks for the responses and feedback

They are located in HongKong. If you are in the US the price difference won't mean much to you once you factor in the shipping cost unless it still manages to be cheaper overall regardless. They're cheaper because they have direct ties to the production factories that produce a lot of 3p items.

People complain about their shipping costs even to non US countries these days but overall they're still a very reliable source of official and unofficial toys. I've been ordering from them for many years, zero problems.

If you need a refund or new parts or whatever you can easily email them and they'll usually sort it out.

They're perfectly fine. I know the owner and have seen the operation.

I've never had an issue with them.

I've ordered with them a couple times and the only problem I ran into was one figure got delayed so I then had to wait on it before my order shipped. Communication was good and shipping time was reasonable. That being said, their shipping costs can be kinda high.

I often go with them because of reliability.

For example i ordered sovereign around 500 in the afternoon and it was shipped with tracking in a few hours. Generally if you get an order in early enough, youll get a tracking number the same day.

I've ordered from them a few times. No issues. Great communication. Fast shipping. I'm in Canada and recently did a test with TW Constructor. I bought half from Robot Kingdom (3 bots and the purple barrel) and the other half from TF Source on the same day. I received the Robot Kingdom stuff several days sooner and Canada Customs charged me duty on the TF Source shipment.

Yes, the shipping is expensive. I felt like it was a bait-and-switch. You cannot see shipping before being a member. You had to go through the process of signing up, only to realize that BBTS is overall cheaper.

I can't even login anymore. My email is valid, but both my username and password have been changed. And there's no way to contact anybody as a non-member.

^ For those reasons, I don't trust them.

I've ordered from them a fair bit. Never had a problem.

Perhaps BBTS is cheaper for Americans, as lordsmurf said, but not us poor Canadians. :(

As a North American, the prices were cheaper for me, even after factoring in the shipping costs. I've had good experiences with them.

I have read some posts in the forums here about how their communication is poor, and that they've had to wait overly long times for replacement parts.

The hell you talking about. Its a basic account system like every single website seller ever uses. If you forgot your password then request it be changed, geez.

All you have to do is login, it takes five seconds. Like come on man.

Never had an issue with them.

As an Australian I can only recommend them over the US based stores.

What @LazyAza and @SharkyMcShark said echo my thoughts, but I am based in New Zealand. I have heard horror stories but given my 100% positive interaction with them when I hear them I find it hard to believe, but you never know.

Even though they are shit, I love how RK throw DOTM cards in the box or some other random crap they're trying to get rid of.

I don't know how many of them they bulk ordered in 2011, but I get at least 5 packs each RK order I make.

I hear the cries of suspect shipping in this thread. I can't really respond to them seeing as shipping to Australia is prohibitively expensive at the best of times, so my radar for that kind of thing is all kinds of messed up.

I can't say I've ever received anything from them that has been less than incredibly well packed though, and I've ordered from them 2-5 times per year over the last 4ish years.

Lol, yeah, that's pretty funny.. reminds me of the time when I got a bunch of those !!
I can't remember what I bought ages ago, but when I opened it, the first thing I saw was some kind of (what I thought was a box of some sort) packaging that had the bay movie pics on it.
I was so angry coz I didn't order that shit.
Then I took the foan and plastic out and it ended up being just a binder :D  :D
To hold all these cards they packed in my box.
No shit, they gave me like 20 packs of those cards.
I ended up giving them away to my nephew, he loved them so that was good.
