i'm actually considering getting him. but i'm not sure cause i like the mold since Hot Shot was executed perfectly but my view on BB has been ruined because of his shelf warming and movie toys. so i ask those of you who have him: is he worth getting (on clearance/sale/discount of course)?

    He's very yellow.

Seriously though, he's not as horrible as some people make him out to be. I mean, he is lacking in the paint app department a lot, but if you can get him for around $10... He's not so bad.

Yup, well worth getting especially on clearance. Got two from BBTS when they lowered the price significantly.

Yes, I have him and he's not as bad as everybody makes him out to be. His transformation is pretty fun, although his gimmick doesn't work on mine (it may just be a QC issue). Plus, he has those awesome guns that I don't use as guns at all! I just plug one into the other with the pegs locking together and you have an instant iacon relic!

He's better as Hot Shot IMO. It's actually a pretty decent toy, but differences in proportion compared to the onscreen model accentuate the toy's flaws. As Hot Shot (or even as Shadow Strike Bumblebee), you can appreciate the toy for what it is, rather than be distracted by show inaccuracy.

If you have the mold as Hot Shot, don't bother getting Bumblebee. If you want Bumblebee, get the FE version.

I have the FE versions and the PRiD...

FE is obviously better, but there's nothing wrong with the PRiD version. If you liked Hot Shot, you'll probably like Bumblebee. It's a decent toy, IMO.

He's unnecessary if you have the FE, and, honestly, you can get the FE for about the same price, the only advantage the PRID version has over the original mold is the improved arm articulation. He makes a good Hot Shot because, as others have said, he doesn't HAVE a show model to be inaccurate to.

As long as you figure out how to transform the neck properly he's better than the mess that is the first edition imo

Anyways, he's probably still 5 bucks on bbts, so its also quite cheap.

Agreed. Once you remove the stigma of the toy being Bumblebee, it's really not a bad figure. Fiddly quick transformation, good posability. If you can get either one for $7 or less, I say go for it.

This. Everything that makes Hot Shot likeable is taken away by Bumblebee..the transformation is fun though...but no.
