I think it's safe to say that I'm not the only who wants a Smokescreen toy. The Takara retool looks pretty cool and I hope Hasbro brings it over. However with the Beast Hunters line approaching I can't help but wonder if Hasbro is planning a new mold for Smokescreen. The reason I'm wondering about this is that I'm finally thinking about grabbing Knock Out but if Hasbro is going to end up just repainting him as Smokescreen I'd rather wait. What do you guys think?

I got myself the Takara version, just in case. If Hasbro does come out with a new mold for Smokescreen, I will get it. Until then, I have a Smokescreen.

I think he might actually have a shot at getting a new mold since the Legends class Smokescreen they revealed wasn't a Knockout repaint. But then again, it is Hasbro, and they love to get the most out of a mold.

I'm too undecided to vote now.

I really hope that it's as a new Deluxe mold. I like Knock Out as a character on the show but his Deluxe figure leaves a lot to desired out of a Transformers toy. It's not the worst but it could have been so much better.

Better not be a redeco of Knock Out. That thing looks horrible.

It's quite possible that I drank to much and imagined this, but weren't there already pics of him in a Beast Hunters line floating around? One with him and some weird armor?

Smokescreen and Knock-Out look nothing alike. At all. It would be just sheer laziness to repaint Knock-Out as Smoke.

I don't like the Arm-Series Retool, all they did was change the Head, But looking closer to the Character model I can see Smokescreen and Knockout are as similar to each other as Skids and Mudflap; similar but unique.

I can see it if they retooled a few more sections along with his head, the Car Mode kibble, fake doors on Smokescreens backpack wheels, new shoulder pads, and new detail work for the Robot Mode parts.

I think the more important question is; will his Deluxe get the Beast Hunters Weaponized treatment or the Normal Earth Mode?

If it turns out the Cyberverse toy is the only release of Smokescreen we'll be seeing I'll be pissed.

At this point, it might only be the Legion toy. Hasbro looks to be more interested in Prickly Death Bumblebee.

To this point, I feel that a white Bumblebee repaint and retool would be a Smokescreen I want just because of the door wings in robot mode. That's just my preference if it has to be a repaint....

I would only buy a new Deluxe class mold. But it would not surprise me one bit if Hasbro either did the Knockout recolor/remold or pulled a "Breakdown" and only released him as a cyberverse. It almost seems the more that people actually want a good representation of a character the less interest Hasbro has in doing it. And the less people actually want a character (bumblebee) the more they try to cram it down our throats.

I think the US will eventually get one in Beast Hunters.

But he'll be armed to the teeth and spikey.

That's my guess. Either way I don't 'need' the character enough to pay import costs for an inaccurate repaint, so if there's no new-mold deluxe Smokescreen in my country, I'll deal with it.
