I still wish both Megatron and Galvatron were in this next movie. I was hoping that somehow Megatron's "being" would split and we would get Megs back (as seen in TLK) and the other would keep the Galvatron name. But, I think it would have been cool if Galvatron would change to look like Optimus like Joshua originally wanted his programming to do. And that this Purple eyed Optimus was really Galvatron in disguise, posing as Optimus. The red "paint" on either side of Megs and OPs faces would represent that "Galvatron and Megatron" were really 2 halves of the same core (split) if you will. That doesn't seem to be the case but just a wish I had hoped would have come true. And that the real OP (seen frozen in Space and all beat up) would awaken and come back to Earth. I mean we seen Laserbeak turn himself into a smaller copy of Bee (just pink). But did so at will like we seen that Transformium can change from a gun to a my little pony . And we seen Bee completely copy the look of Stinger, so why couldn't Galavatron take on the look of Optimuse and pose as him Again, just a wish I had
Very true, and I actually like the idea of the purple eyed Optimus being Galvatron a lot more than if Optimus is being mind controlled. Those are actually really great ideas you have.
Galvatron becoming Optimus is a good idea, also if the new Megatron isn't linked to Galvatron in any way we have 2 Megatron in the story, so both ways need an explaination.
If Galvatron was around I'd love to see Megatron kill him off without much effort. Just to show how pathetically weak KSI copies are.

Honestly, that doesn't sound too far-fetched at all. Maybe the trailers will make us believe Optimus himself turned evil, and the movie itself will show us that it's just Galvatron in disguise this whole time. It will make Tucci's line in AoE a nice little bit of foreshadowing as well. The only problem is that Lockdown's line about Optimus being built to do what he's told is also an obvious bit of foreshadowing. It could easily go either way.
Could this potentially be the twist? Maybe we're led to believe galvatron reverts back megs, but actually they are separate entities and Primes being held up somewhere. It's very 80's!
It would be a way to take the idea of Galvatron and Megatron being two different character main stream. I never liked how Galavatron was just a reformatted Megatron in G1, it made Galavtron feel like a poor man's Megatron. Plus if we were going to have a villain vs villain power struggle again at some point it would be more interesting with Galvatron vs Megatron than what they have done so far.
This is a cool theory, in fact everything said to here is so damned cool id pay double to see that on screen! Only problem is galvs didn't have purple eyes so could be difficult for him to be in disguise as optimus. Unless theres something else that brings the optimus out of him....
Remember at one point we seen teaser images of Megs face with the purple eyes too. They both could end up "pawns" of something/someone else.
I personally feel this idea is nowhere as good as optimus going evil for too many reasons to name really. First how exactly does this bring depth to the conflict. As it is believed right now bumblebee and Cade have to fight against their closest friend who is being forced to try and kill them, they don't want to hurt optimus but to stay alive as well as save their home they may have to kill their closest friend. How exactly does not making this optimus improve the conflict on an emotional level? Second it seems the heroes may very well team up with Megatron to take on Optimus this finally pays off their rivalry and turns it around optimus is the one threatening Earth, humanity and the Autobots while Megatron is their last hope. Having this just be Galvatron removes this dynamic completely. Finally where does this leave optimus in the movie, optimus has been the main character of the movies and has developed extensively throughout. This whole evil optimus arc pays off so much. In Age humanity was the enemy of optimus his own home was his greatest threat now the tides have turned optimus is the greatest threat to his home, a great reverse to what happened in Age. This whole turn leaves so much for Optimus, being pit against his friends, his actions forcing him to question who he is and if he made the right choice and once returned to normal he can finally try to make up for his mistakes from so long ago. This is a rich and complex story for optimus that follows on from where Dark and Age have been taking him why would you want to throw this out, in favor of it just being Galvatron in disguise what does that add on a story or character level?
That's true although they were nowhere near as purple as optimus's eyes. I am a big on trying to pick up deception within things, its just in my nature to always try and see what's behind what is being said..... one thing for sure is in each of the films so far everything, absolutely everything that the autobots have gone after has been attempted to be used against them, in some fashion or another, so my theory is you may be onto something and I'm temporary going off track here.... what if the maguffin in TLK is what empowers the bearer control over certain transformers, aka primes... that may explain how the horse rider and dragon seem to be on their own but also a team...
