Smaller, but better. He's one of the gems from the SS line. My favorite, personally.

I personally like SS Ironhide better. No electronic gimmick or faceplate that only retracts when activating the voice feature and the smaller size looks better with other movie figures than the larger leader figure. I do miss the knife and hidden sheath the leader class had though.

I don't own the DOTM leader...don't need him...I have the SS figure! SS IH is great. One of my top 3 of the series so far.

SS is a lot more accurate and has better range of motion for the knees. DOTM leader is sturdier, more solid and has fun gimmicks. If accuracy and poseability are more important, get the SS. If you like integrated gimmicks and bigger figures, get the DOTM leader. There's no overlapping qualities to both, their strengths are in very different areas.

The SS Voyager is easily the best version of the character, while the Leader is one of the worst. So...

The one thing the leader has going for it is it's not the MPM.

At least the MPM still looks good. It's just not particularly playable.

The Leader is somewhat the opposite. Sacrifices looks/accuracy for play features. Only that those are kinda lame and goofy, compromise the figure in some annoying ways, and even with how simple the toy is, still somehow manages to be annoying to transform.

Dotm is huge next to SS, I love the mpm-6 better though, more fidelity to onscreen appearance, just large and solid feel, SS feels like a glorified deluxe

I can't speak to the DoTM figure as I've never owned him, but the SS figure is freaking awesome! He is one of my favorites. And the new DNA kit makes him almost perfect!

I'd highly recommend the Studio Series

The Leader figure is nice, with faults. He's a big boy with lights and deploying guns. He's got a cool knife tucked away in his leg. Leg ratchets are a little loose and he's got some arm kibble, but looks good witht original Voyager Ratchet.

Studio Series one looks nice, but is small for a Voyager. I prefer the Leader. I'm hoping WeiJiang or Black Mamba upscales the SS one.
