How does it feel to know Earth is Planet X?

Liner notes from the final Galaxy Force DVD release identified Planet X as the body of Unicron himself from a parallel universe.

In Primeverse Earth is Unicron's body.

Heck that thought alone makes me want to make a story where humanity evolved into the denizens of Planet X.

Which is reminiscent of IDW's take on the possible origin of Transformers being originally organic.

I'd be more worried thinking where I lived might be the butt hole of Unicron

^ That'd probably be Mariana's Trench or the Laurentian Abyss; where they dumped movie Megatron....hmm, so he does feel at home up Unicron's ass! ;)

And yes, I know they're different continuities!

Personally I don't like it. I am into more female Earth-centered religions which see the Earth as sacred and benevolent. Yeah, she has some violent moments, but one can't call such natural moments evil. Of course it's just a show in the end but one has to wonder how those who see it might interpret it in relation to all the earthquakes and weather patterns this planet is experiencing right now. If the Earth really is sentient, I can see why there may be more earthquakes, droughts, and severe weather. Alot of it, like global warming, overpopulation, and environmental destruction, is the human race's fault. The Earth maybe upset with her misbehaved and destructive children and may be trying to make sure one group of children (humans) don't try to destroy all other groups (other species). She's simply trying to protect what she has left. One can't call that evil anymore than one can call me evil for trying to defend myself from an attacker.

Unicron did call humans parasites. In this cartoon, humans and all other species are probably nothing more than mushrooms growing on his surface that he could care less about. He is being the old and familar Unicron wanting to detroy all. I think it would be a different take if he decided, after being in stasis and waking up with debris surrounding him, to change his ways. Maybe he might not care to engage in eons of war and destruction anymore seeing that it has gotten him nowhere. Perhaps he decides to change his paradigm from chaos to creation. Perhaps he decides to try and walk in Primus' shoes for once and actually create life instead of destroying it. So he ultimately creates all life on Earth using the materials that are available to him which are organic ones. Maybe he even starts to enjoy creation finding it much more fulfilling. But then one species arises which confirms his previous belief that only chaos, not creation, can be sustained. The humans rise and ultimately start warring and killing, overpopulating, and destroying all that he created. So he either gets mad at the human race and decides to wipe it out or says "Fuck it! I can't continue to believe in and support creation if a species I created can't either and turns into parasites instead. Might as well just blow my outer layers off, kill all life I've created, and go back to good old destruction!"

Definitely an interesting twist, though it's pretty clear he's the major character going to die sometime between now and next season. Earth cannot be destroyed. I’m a little saddened by the fact that Unicron’s presence will only be slightly longer than that of G1 cartoons, but if you look at the bigger picture 26 plus episode is pretty long actually; only his physical presence will be limited to just a few shows.

First of all, please change the title of the thread to something less spoilerific. I'm not mad, but someone who hasn't seen One Shall Rise will be.

Secondly, I sort of like this twist, although it sort of means we'll never see the real Unicron, since if he transforms... well everyone's dead. But the idea of Planet X and humans evolving into transformers... eh, I'm not too crazy about that.

I was talking to a friend from TFW2005 this morning about this very idea, and we both agree we're not thrilled with the concept of Unicron being the Earth. We both also agreed to reserve judgement until we see how it's played out.

But as for Planet X? What I think would be really cool would be tying the TF: Prime universe into Galaxy Force more so than just this (and by me saying this, I think the concept is pretty cool). Excillion, First Aid, Nitro Convoy (*ahem* not "Override"), Megalo Convoy, Flame Convoy . . . . I'd like to see some of these characters cross over dimensionally.

Notice how Noisemaze look like Prime Soundwave - now you know why - he's a fellow Planet Xer.

I'm getting a Cathari Vibe from the inference that Earth is the Devil Planet.

But I think the shows not really saying more that we are living on Unicron's skin like Fleas on a dog. so how much involvement direct or otherwise he has who knows - may be his dark dreams can enter some peoples minds even if Unicoron is actively disintereted in the deeds of his fleas (us) at least until Optimus waved them under his nose..

They say asigning Gender to objects affects your world view - like how Ships are female for example (Why "Shrugs") ?

An example I heard recently was how Bridges are described in Masculine or femine terms depending on the country/ language gender given to them by that language (I.e Spanish & French).

Interesting never thought of that. He does remind of Noisemaze/Sideways blank face.

Remember this in the Galaxy Force finale?

One Planet X was blown up in one parallel universe. It could be there are others in the TF multiverse.

Its just an intriguing thought Planet X is a future version of an Earth.

Can't say I like it either.

What's worse is I saw it coming a mile away. It's simply a bad idea, because it puts them in to much of a corner story wise. Unless they are willing to destroy the Earth in this series, it's a no pay off situation.

I kind of like the fact Unicron is earth. This means he's now at the very center of things. He can be the apocalyptic enemy or a subtle schemer. He can be every where influencing things this way or that.

The bots are practically fighting to save the very thing that wants to destroy them, the earth. They're trying to make a home out of the opposing force of Cybertron. They're trying to protect life that may have originated from their ancient enemy.

Can they do it? Can they turn the power of the destroyer into something that creates? I like it.

Unicron can make as many weird and interesting avatars as he wants just as long as he's the earth. They can have him take control of the bodies of other creatures. (As suggested by somone, like Mass Effect 2)

They already did that in Energon. The whole Unicron being dormant becoming a rock puts into perspective the Unicron trilogy. How can Unicron be defeated by Omega Supreme in Energn yet still hide as a moon in Armada?

Answer space dust covered him over the long eons.

Unicron can be a force of creation but the thing is he doesn't want to be.

It's ok, but I just hate that they mentioned Primus and that he is Cybertron.

Why? If anything, that whole aspect was addressed and handled in a much better manner than previous continuities. Primus merging with the core of Cybertron is, strangely, easier to swallow than Primus just outright being Cybertron. Just as, technically, Unicron isn't the Earth itself as much as being the core of the Earth.

I agree here. I really enjoy at least how this was explained in the show.

Unicron being the core of the Earth is certainly interesting, and he may still reveal himself, he'll probably just tunnel out of the Earth, and if he destroys something on his way out, he just won't care.

Wasn't the main point of the recent episodes to keep Unicron in the earth? If he did that, he'd pop the earth like a baloon. And even if there's another way such as him suddenly disappearing, he'd still leave the earth a hollow shell ready to cave in.

Also the earth's core is needed for things like our magnetic field to protect us from solar flares.

Even the earths gravity is due to the mass of the earth's core, if my understanding is correct.

The autobots are right. If Unicron suddenly disappears, earth is doomed.

    http://www.answers.com/topic/what-is-the-importance-of-the-outer-core-to-the-earth-s-magnetic-field

Also, I think we've got to remember, if Unicron was there from the very beginning of Primeverse earth, with all life evolving in his albeit dormant presence, there's not telling what effect his disappearance would do to life on the planet.

If he ever shows up again, I'd hope he doesn't get out.

    Great Scott! This is Heavy.

I've never seen a thought process this intense in a long time. Well if Soundwave has a bigger agenda I hope it's Planet X.

    Bring on Sideways for Prime.
