Probably something like the TF2007 one that started with going to the car dealer, then shit goes nuts a la TF3 trailer 4. Example: Fade in to racetrack: Whalberg: Where's your boyfriend? I lost him! Katara: Look, dad! There he is! Near the finish: Commentator: It's neck to neck, tire to tire, 100 meters! Biker Boyfriend: Come on, come on! Commentator: 50 meters! Other guy tied for first: Not this time! (kicks bf into a swerve) In the stands: katara: aaah. Whalberg: oh no. Bf tumbles as he and his bike crash. Oter guy: Whoop whoo- suddenly he's crushed by a protoform from space. Entire crowd is shocked. Black screen with heavy bass. ON JUNE 31 Fade in to an emergency team running towards the protoform. Black screen with heavy bass. FROM DIRECTOR MICHAEL BAY Whalberg and Katara are seeing to the biker boyfriend when suddenly a metal shriek is heard. They look up. Black screen with metal schreeching. AND EXECUTIVE PRODUCER STEPHEN SPEILBERG Protoform turns into Galvatron/Overlord/Jiaxhus/Darkmount/Sideways/IDK. Brief black screen of silence. Then we hear something like "WHERE IS MEGATRON". Then people start dying as the humans run. TRANS4RMERS Shot of Optimus and co arriving in new bodies and transforming. JUNE 31 Peter Cullen says "Autobots, Transform and Roll Out!"
It'll probably be very similar to the other trailers we've seen. Maybe with a slightly larger focus on the new humans and their characters, since they're not established in previous films. We'll have a better idea once the first posters and promo images surface.
Idyllic human life Wait what's that BRAAHHM Robot BRAAHHM Robot blowing shit up BRAAHHM People running BRAAHHM Optimus saying stuff BRAAHHM Explosions BRAAHHM More explosions BRAAHHM Humans BRAAHHM HOLY SHIT DID YOU JUST SEE THAT ROBOT IT WAS ALL LIKE "WHOOSH, KABOOM!" TRANS4MERS
What if he means OP's trailer? I'm thinking the standard Autobot semi-trailer adorned with the faces and heads he's ripped off.
Most likely a clip of what brings Megatron to life (if that's what goes down). Otherwise probably some guys finding an ancient macguffin.
Pretty much. I doubt the trailer will throw us for any loops; not many trailers for any movie really deviate much from set patterns. Most teasers have a certain "look and flow" to the them, most TV spots have a certain "look and flow" to them and most theatrical trailers have a certain "look and flow" to them. If anything, the TF4 teaser will probably be just as mysterious as previous teasers, while maybe throwing something in there to basically say "this is going to be different", probably with a catchy tagline intercut with shots. And the theatrical trailer will probably follow the same "introduce story, set up conflict, show action shots, show emotional shots, end with giant action-gasmic money-shot" that 99% of action movies have. Dang it, Sso02V, I wanted to make the BRAAHHM-joke!
I was going to give a detailed description, but this is about perfect. I say "about", because you forgot to put "A Michael Bay Film" or "From director Michael Bay" somewhere in there.
Probably about 53 feet long. Silver. Maybe with a stripe down the side, and an Autobot logo on the side. That's what we're talking about, right?
As long as it's not a big number two. Maybe when he says 'trailer' he actually means a length toilet paper Optimus is dragging around on his heel. In which case I think the trailer is going to look ragged and slighty stained. Probably this (although I'm getting a slight trollistic sarcasm from it): It's more or less what we've had the last three times and it's not likely to change anytime soon.
I don't think they will be drastically different than the trailers we have gotten for the other Transformers films. It's a style that is so popular that you see trailers for films like Battleship doing everything they can to mimic the Micheal Bay movie trailer style.
