after now seeing him in 4 movies, what are your preferences on how bumblebee communicates. he has three ways at this point: speaking, radio clips, and strained matallic groans. obviously its hard to judge for speaking since he only spoke 2 actual lines but if you want to see what he normally sounds like when he speaks just watch some cutscenes from the ROTF game, he speaks normally in the game with mark ryan reprising him. I wouldnt expect him to speak in the movies anymore though since is muteness is apparently universally established and irreversible now. I personally really like the matallic groans and sounds he makes, usually when fighting or be very expressive. they are actually his and its his normal way of expressing himself, its not like you cant understand him with them because theres plenty of body language to accompany it. i like these more now because i just hated how he was using the radio clips in AOE, it was just a real turnoff as a fan for me. was really stupid sounding. so what is your favorite way for him to commune and why
Well, Ratchet die after failing to fix his voice for more than 10 years since they got to earth (if the movie prequel comic is considered canon i think it might be more than a century since Ratchet started working with Bee's voice processor but since Krueger broke the stroyline by his shitty plot, i think the comic is now non canon) so we might never see him talk
Depends on the show for me. I liked him talking in G1 and TFA. In the movies I prefer his random radio voice clips. The lines he picks are typically pretty good. Better than his beeping in TFP.
he needs a voice.. i don't give a shit how emotive his face is.. it's REALLY REALLY difficult to relate/connect to a character who doesn't have a voice. the radio thing was neat for the first movie.. but it really hindered bumblebee and sam's relationship. you just get to know a character better when he speaks AND emotes with his face. you're able to understand him better, and tone of voice really helps. though.. i REALLY disliked his voice from the end of the first movie.. i thought it was terrible and REALLY didn't fit his young/scout character. i would prefer a more G1 sounding voice.. animated's wouldn't work, and TFP bumblebee was mute too.. so, i think the G1 voice would fit better out of the two styles. i'm just REALLY REALLY glad that the human/transformer relationship that was spotlighted the most in AOE was prime and cade. it's just a shame sam and bumblebee couldn't have a relationship similar. and when i say similar, i mean one where they're actually able to talk to each other lol. lastly, his voice being gone has been a major element of bumblebee throughout all of the movies.. yet, the only thing we know (strictly from the movies) is that he "lost it in battle".. no backstory.. no reason why it hasn't been fixed.. nothing. maybe they can use some of that transformium to replicate his vocal box so he can speak.
