What side of Grimlock and the Dinobots do you like best?

Do you like comedic Dinobots?

Do you like rebelious Dinobots like the ones that beat up Optimus Prime in "War of the Dinobots" or ran off to Cybertron and gave the Autobots the middle claw in "Desertion of the Dinobots"?

Or do you prefer the edgy good guy Dinobots that always saved the day by obliterating all the big bad guys that were too tough for the main good guys (Autobots)?

I like them to be defiant and very powerful. Comic relief (season 3) Dinobots do nothing for me.

 

Defiant, hmmm... like defying Optimus, right? What do you think about when they attack other Autobots such as Optimus Prime himself?

I'm cool with it. The Dinobots being an uncontrollable rouge group of Autobots gives them more depth as characters. I think we have enough "yes sir!" bots around.

I enjoy the early G1 characters they were something new to me as a kid and I really enjoyed the concept behind them.

 

I like my Dinobots medium rare with chips and tar on the side...Oh, wait...

Dinobot Job Criteria:

Must defy Optimus Prime.
Must be Big. Really Big.
Must be Animalistic. No smart bots allowed.
Must cause destruction everywhere they go.
Must talk. Does not include Roaring. Not too much Talk, either.
Must be Silver or Grey predominantly.

I like my Dinobots defiant. A hint of barely supressed rage at the crapness of the other Autobots wouldn't go amiss, either.

 

Power full stupid and funny

 

I liked the Marvel Comics Dinobots best. They weren't all just a bunch of bumbling idiots, and Grimlock was especially awesome.

 

That. Those are my favorite Dinobots. Grimlock was also the only one of them that talked with a "speech impediment"... The others talked normal.

 

I agree with this !!
Although I particularly liked their portrayal in the UK marvel comics. Much smarter than the cartoon with actual personalities beyond “angry caveman” or “strong idiot”. Swoop in particular had an interesting character and back story (read "Icarus Theory" and “In The National Interest”)
I also liked how, although they were powerful, they weren’t as powerful as originally depicted in the cartoon (until they turned into comic relief). They felt more like Transformer Marines.

 

Marvel Dinobots are my favourites too. As well as the above mentioned Swoop stories, I also like when Sludge falls in love during the Dinobot hunt.

 

Like the badass Dinobots. Like the current IDW series

 

As long as they're not Season 3, I like them in almost any fashion. I love them best in the comics, though. That's some good shit right there.

 

Like Marvel's G2 Dinobots were the best!

 

Just a few thigns I like:

Must be Dinosaurs.

Must look tough, not just brawn, but physically capable of beating someone in some way. (eitehr being agile, just bulky or a combo of both)

Must have melee weapons. (I always prefered them to use their swords in G1, and really like their different weapons in Animated)

 

I agree, biting, ripping off arms, getting up close and personal suits the Dinobots.

I opened my three Ani. Dinobots last night, really like their weapons, very fitting for them.

 

My absolute favorite character was WarWithin Grimlock. "You think me come to rescue you? NO, If Necessary... me here to bury you!" He was on the side of good, But he would have killed Prime if he found out he was too weak to lead the autobots.

and I really like how they are currently being written in the Maximum Dinobots. I like them being extremely powerful, uncontrollably powerful, which gives them the confidencs that they don't have to follow orders if they don't like them. i like them being Autobots but just bearly, but I think they still need to be challenged occasionally.

I HATE the idea of them being comic relief!!!!!
