In TF 1 wen the bots arrive , is there a way of knowing who is who cos many people say that It was optimus who got out of the pool? If this is true how are we certain, I kno ratchet and jazz had already acquired a vehicle but iron hide and prime hadn't so this protoform getting out of the pool could have been ironhide

 

All the Protos look the same because it's just for space travel,only temporary

 

Correct, they shed their armor to become protoforms. All protoforms look the same so you really can't tell who is who but I think the one coming out of the pool was Ironhide.

Prime: the one running away from the flaming tree
Ratchet: crashed into the building where the kid says the "Armageddon" quote
Ironhide: Crashed into the pool
Jazz: Crashed into the baseball stadium

It was optimus that crashed out by Sam and Michaela. You can tell because when he goes to scan a vehicle, there's nothing around him. Ironhide crashed in the pool. He hid behind the trees and went around to the front of the house and scanned the truck that belonged to the owner of the house. Jazz landed in the baseball stadium in the middle of the city (retail area, which explains the Pontiac dealership), so there wouldn't be any houses.

 

Optimus: Crashes in the clearing, which is near the hill he stands on when he scans his alt mode.
Ironhide: Crashes in the pool, and scans the Top Kick in the driveway.
Ratchet: Crashes in an ally, and scans a rescue Hummer.
Jazz: Crashes in the baseball stadium, and makes his way to a car lot to scan the Pontiac Solstice.

 

It is indisputably 100% obvious that Ironhide is the one who gets out of the pool. How could anyone possibly miss that?

How do you kno though cos there is no distinguishable features on them?

 

You can look at where they crashed, and where they are first shown in alt mode, and come to a logical conclusion. For example, it would make no sense for Ratchet to crash in the open field, make his way to the ally, and scan an alt mode. Too high a chance of being seen.

 

Yeah, all of these. The best (and difficult) ways to tell which Autobot is which is by size and slight change in detail.
But (not to change the subject or anything) here's my question... how in THE WORLD did Jazz get out of that stadium without harming anyone or being seen by anyone?? He clearly hit something on the stadium.

 

What?...English....Do you somewhat speak it!? I think Spike is right 'cause of all the amazing detail Spike put out and also made the most sense at the same time.

 

Because the one that crashes into a pool crashes next to a black pickup truck, and Prime doesn't turn into a black pickup truck... this time.

 

tfwiki also says Ironhide has a limp when walking in protoform mode.

That's just my idea.

 

Also, the protoforms ARE different-looking, they have different heights and shapes. Just look at the difference between the Prime and Starscream and Bumblebee protoform toys.

 

I've not looked at the toys , didn't kno that SS and bb had a protoform toy , cos they werent protoforms in the movie

 

Something tells me it was a precaution for battle,so the Protos wouldn't try to kill each other before they even got a chance to hide from the others.Like a Life & death game of hide & seek

 

I always thought of it like this:

Jazz: Crashes on the grass where the flaming tree was.
Ironhide: Crashes in the stadium.
Ratchet: Crashes in the alley near those people and the dude that was filming everything.
Optimus Prime: Crashes in the pool.

The reason why I say Optimus was the one that crashed in the pool was because when he got out of it, they played a type of music that sounded like music that is played when the leader is shown into the screen. And besides, he was way bigger than Ironhide, and the one that crashes into the plain near the flaming tree was a small Protoform, so it was Jazz.
