Love them, hate them, don't care? What types do you have in your collection? Or do you avoid that sort of stuff altogether to focus purely on Transforming toys.

Some of the types of products from 1st party and licensed to other parties that are in the NON-TF TF toys, merchandise etc include:

    Articulated Non-Transforming action figures
    Action Masters
    Upmarket high end Statues
    Gokin / Chogokin etc
    Model Kits
    Vinyl toys
    Plush
    Mr Potato Head
    Angry Birds etc

So let's hear it! And please keep it civil people.

IT feels strange, but remembering back to Action Masters it was something I got used to quite quickly then and the examples I have now (Sentinel Mega Zarak, a couple of Optimi and TFs like Warden that may as well be Action Masters) I'm ok with them as "add-ons" or one offs in a large collection that does primarily transform.

I know that's probably not a popular sentiment.

I personally don't buy them... but then I look at my rows of red and purple rubber Decoy figures and remember that these CAN be fun or interesting.

I also remember being unreasonably fond of the Unicron head that came with Cybertron Primus. That's one of the few A/E/C items that I plan to keep.

I'm really glad they're out there for the folks who enjoy them but with a few exceptions, I don't give them a second look.

I don't really care for them personally. I want my transformers to transform. But to each their own!

EDIT: Goodness, where are my forum manners? What I should have said was - Those pointless hunks of plastic aren't transformers, they're the worst! Anyone who buys them is obviously stupid and has no taste in toys!!!

Personally, I never really cared for non transforming figures, but I also have loads of Robot Heroes (almost all of them), some Action Masters, a few Revoltech, some Robot Replicas and a few assorted statues and vinyl figures. I guess I'm kind of middle ground.

I'll be damned if I'll make a non transforming custom, though.

I love them! I like having posable representations that can resemble the characters more than a transforming piece.

I have a Pez dispenser Prime and Megs.

    That's about it.

My wife bought me a movie Optimus Prime place mat.

As for actual figures, I draw the line at transforming happy meal-ish toys.

They don't bother me at all. I have a few some TF Revoltech's, and their inability to transform isn't a problem. I bought them for their likeness and increased articulation.

What does bother me is license cross-over promoting. TF/Evangelion, TF/Angry Birds, TF/Star Wars. Even though I enjoy those other licenses (except AB), I won't touch cross-over products.

I love Revoltech Megatron. That's the only non transforming transformer I own. I would love a non transforming Arcee that is 7 inches tall. I don't need the Barbie car tho

Mine broke. I barely even played with it.

I noticed that about other figures as well. Non-transforming toys are just not as fun. I have some tmnt, joes, one lion-o, they collect dust. Never play with them at all.

Statues...No, not interested. Sometimes I'm tempted by non transforming figures like Sentinel Scorponok or Revoltech ones, they have great proportions and posability, but I never bought one. In the end for me Transformers are robots that change form and that has always been my priority.

I voted Love which certainly overstates things. I have no interest in statues or most of the other stuff currently out but if someone came out with a nice line of die cast alt mode vehicles I'd be all over it.

I used to hate non-transforming Transformers because it went against what made Transformers, well, Traansformers. But since Ive gotten older, I dont mind them as much. Still prefer actual "Transformers" but I do have some non-TFing figurines on my character specific shelves like HoC PVC Ratchet and Skywarp, ROTF Robot Replica Ratchet, etc.

Other than the cheap trading figures (decoys, Robot Heroes, etc.) I have no use for non-transformers.

I thought the old HoC PVCs were fun. Until we got Masterpiece style figures the larger non-transforming figures served a purpose. Some of the hyper detailed poseable statues are fun but I just don't go for it. Plus, I'm a fan of having a group of characters to interact with. A lot of these are one-offs.

I own a few Super Robot Chogokin and that has warmed me up to the idea of non-transforming figures in that I'm getting something of high quality and affordable compared to their SoC counterparts. I do think that, if they came with enough accessories and were well-made, Super Robot Chogokin Transformers would sell very well. I'm talking ultra-posable, extra hands/faces, etc. At least 33% diecast metal. And half the price of their Masterpeice counterparts...probably $20 for minibots, $30 for cars/jets, $40 for OP/Megs/Soundwave.

As for superdeformed or mini-statues, though, no thanks.

I loved Action Masters, Heroes of Cybertron, and Revoltech figures as they're just robot action figures. Same goes for the small models they've created of the Ark and Beast Wars ships. I really wish they'd make more and larger versions of the latter.
