Did your parents name you after some one, or did they just think it was a cool name? My mom was watching a movie called Cliff Hanger with Sylvester Stallone. Sylvester charecter was named Gabriel, and my mom thought that was a cool name.
I'm named after both my father and grandfather, in a roundabout way: My first name (Aaron) includes my dad's name (Ron) and my initials (ABR) are the same as those of my paternal grandfather (Alan).
I'm not entirely sure about why my folks picked my name. I think my mom was fond of Sean Connery, and liked the spelling of the name Sean. My middle name they picked because it flowed well with my first and last. That's all there it to it. XD The meanings of my names weren't important; all my parents were intent on was not having either my brother or me named after any relatives, for once.
Heh, so am I. Named after both of them. Fortunately, the better name was put first. Also, my surname comes from someone seeing a black lake one day and thinking Sacre Bleu! That lake looks like coal! I shall found a town here named Coal Water Lake!
my older brother named me, there was a kid near by named troy my bother was friends with him and my mom asked him if he wanted a brother or a sister and he replied i want a Troy and thus Im Troy lol my middle name William is for my grandfather
