I have a theater background, I've seen West Side Story, the movie version, and two different stage productions at two different theaters... Why did this never occur to me before.

Those were the names of the street gangs from West Side Story!

That whole rivalry between these two characters isn't totally random, it's a West Side Story reference!

Someone randomly shouted Sharks in a totally unrelated game and my first reaction was to shout Jets back at him but some how it wasn't until that happened that I realized why Cyberverse made Jetfire and Sky-Byte rivals.

Now where’s the musical numbers? SkyByte is a know poet & lyricist. It’s almost criminal to not have him sing.

 

I doubt they'd do it... rights issues and all... unless they could get away with calling it a parody... but it'd be funny to have Sky-Byte actually sing this backed up by the Sharkticons.

I did change some of the lyrics because the song was ment for the Jets, I combined the Broadway and Movie versions that had one line changed but both lines are here. I also removed a line about cigarettes and a line that originally referred the Sharks as Puerto Ricans mosty because it rhymed with Chickens but it's still vaguely racist and wouldn't make sense in the context of this version so I just droped that bit...

But yeah I think Sky-Byte would be more likely to break into song and being back up by the Sharkticons for the Ensemble parts would make it even better.
