Reissue or KO? Reissue will have a China copyright stamp on the trailer, and different wheel hubs on the cab. There are other differences, too, like the American short stacks.

    For KO, see above post.

Also depends on what reissue we're talking about. The most recent Encore reissue has tampographed autobot symbols, and the New Years reissue has blue eyes and blue windshields in addition to a number of new accessories. I would think the hardest to differentiate is the first reissue Takara did which is pretty much a straight reissue of the original toy only with a silver Roller. I never had the book-style TFC reissue so I can't speak to that one other than the accessory additions like the energy ax.

I would imagine Turboedguy's response covers you for those harder to differentiate reissues and the US reissues (which also had some color differences). I don't have an original anymore so I haven't been able to compare the copyright stamp differences.

You should be a little more specific. Is it boxed or loose? Do you have any photos?

Not much point on getting hardcore between a KO and the original G1 if you are rocking a Hasbro one or the Encore.

Well, I just viewed some picks between the original and reissues and it looks original to me as the color matches, it has the long smoke stacks, and the little shape on the bumber are more square the rectangular. So I am pretty sure it is an original.
    Thank for the help! :)

Has anyone ever weighed the two on a sensitive scale? Might sound ridiculous, but I have a working theory that reissue Prime is lighter than old school OG Prime.

I mean, beyond the smokestacks giveaway.

I think that is a KO, but I'm not an expert.

Damn that's annoying. They should have put the reproduction year instead.

I just checked my repros (I don't have Prime) and didn't find any date on the toys at all. I guess only the bigger ones have them?

No. Why would they be? Perhaps I simply assumed they would because Hasbro is having Basic Fun do a repro line of another toyline and there are dates stamped on the bottom.
