While combiners are big, how big hasn't been clear. Are they the size of a few story building or godzilla sized? It has always been inconsistent.

How big do you think they are?

You mean the individual components or the combined form?

Superion, for reference, has a torso that is made out of a 100 passenger jetliner. Vast majority of Combiners are said to be Godzilla sized, though, which I have to agree with.

Yeah, but his limbs aren't close to that size, he'd just have stubby limbs and look weird.

And which story, since scale is basically a joke.

I doubt most combiners would reach after the original Gojira's height, and he's the smallest one. I believe he's 60 meters or 60 feet. Someone correct that for me.

According to High Moon's scale charts: approximately 80 feet.

    50 meters. ~170 feet.

As for combiner scale, I find its best not to think about it. Especially the Combaticons. Blast Off should be bigger then the other four put together.

    Wow...
I thought ShodaiGoji was a lot smaller.
You DO learn something new every day.
And yes, it is best not to think about it. FoC handled the scale well, making Blast Off an ordinary jet that just happens to resemble a space shuttle.
I hope we get more FoC styled combiners.
Why is Blast Off even a space shuttle anyways? When were space shuttles used in wars?

Depends on the combiner, size of original components and shitty artists drastically mass shifting each member three-four times their original size.

Those cars are how many stories tall?

Combiners are nearly always way bigger than they should be, I think RotF Devastator's the only one that's properly sized -- of course, he uses literally the most massive construction vehicles there are (well, almost) and at least 9 of them at that.

Personally, I'd love to see Combiners be believably sized, both because I'm a scale nut and because it'd give more variety to the various gestalts. Menasor should be far smaller (and weaker) than Devastator, but that doesn't make him worse, it just means he's got a different way of doing things, which is far more interesting.

Yup, even at his smallest, Godzilla is still pretty dang big.
Quick fun fact: The space shuttles were 56 meters long, meaning Astrotrain, Blast Off, and Sky Lynx would be about the same size as Godzilla, no combining necessary.

Even without looking it up, I feel pretty confident in guessing that space shuttles have never been used in war.

This is why Blast Off should be a jet. I can understand Astrotrain, as both his modes were made to transport decepticons.
But Sky Lynx? Official, G1 has the worst scale issues EVER.

Again, he should be a jet. It would really make sense.

Damn! How big are the trains in Alabama?!

I've always thought that Blastoff was just a very small shuttle and not really the size of the American shuttles, the same with Silverbolt. It's Groove and Swindle that I take issue with. There's no way either of those work.

    Depends on the Gestalt.
