Pretty much summarises my exact thoughts on that scene xD Also... Bee still cant talk? Its on the fourth film now and they are still going with the idea that a voice box is unrepairable despite Optimus gaining a brand new arm and coming back to life...? Especially confusing considering the Autobots have been on the run since Chicago and likely haven't been a functioning group before... unless we get some rushed prequel comics...
I'm not thrilled about the voice either. Even TFP moved on from that old gimmick. Though I don't think Prime got a brand new arm, probably just reattached his arm from the battle. That's what I thought happened with Bumblebee after TF1. Maybe there will be some back story conversation about them fighting together back on Cybertron?
who's to say that they weren't a group who fought together back on cybertron? sort of like in tf prime with bulkhead and wheeljack? .. there could be some back story to what hound is saying. at least that's what i thought when i heard it.. i mean, it would certainly make for a great reason for all of these guys coming to earth to help prime. apparently not, since he still doesn't have one. his lack of a voice SERIOUSLY hinders a deep connection with one of the main characters.. sure his eyes are emotive.. but i'd rather hear his voice and get to know him a bit more than voices from a radio.. it was cute for the first movie, but it's now the fourth and it's getting REALLY old and, like i said, i feel like i really have no idea who he is. and besides prime, he's had the most screen time thus far out of any transformer.
Lol in ROTF they explain that he can talk (remember the end of TF1). But, he just likes using the radio voice.
I don't know if it's just me, but does anyone else feel like Hound is kind of...photoshoped unto that scene?
it's a little more complicated than photoshop, but yes you're right, there wasn't actually a real life hound standing on that rock being filmed. in all seriousness though what you're seeing a lack of is something called colour grading, the process of tweaking the colours of the individual elements to make them look like part of the same shot. it happens late in the process.
i also prefer mute Bee, heck if i directed a tf movie, or was the showrunner for a tf show or working on the comics, anything transformers related, i would always keep Bumblebee, i would never give him a voice, i would never bring it back (even on the finale), regardless of fans complaining on mute bee, thats how i would keep Bee, Mute. for all eternity. expect in prequels, set before he lost his voice
I'm familiar with the artistic technicalities, I'm just wondering if I was the only one who saw that.
Hound- We're getting the gang back together. Crosshairs- We aren't a gang, you fragging moron. Drift- Furthermore, it is illogical to assume that we have all worked together before this day. Hound- Prowl wannabe. Crosshairs- Bulkhead wannabe Prime- Enough! Primus, what have I gotten myself into? Bee- bleep, whir, chirrup, Prime- Good idea, Bumblebee. We shall go force the humans at KSI to release any living comrades and resurrect those they have murdered.
Maybe it's a REUNION. They may be getting back together for the first time in ages or something, which for us would be the first time ever. Still, that scene needs to be watched.
The war on Cybertron has been going on for hundreds of years... why couldn't they have fought together before? Been moved up to the front line after being off fighting elsewhere?
Hound said...'getting'. Not 'we've got', but 'we're getting.' The way I see it, they're getting a different 'gang'...perhaps Hound, Drift and Crosshairs are part of a special team Prime assembled to rescue the other Autobots (Sideswipe, Mirage, Wreckers) from the humans? Or maybe he's talking about 'getting' the Dinobots back together?
I really don't think Hound's line has any depth, he was probably only referring to the Autobot team as a whole that they're back united.
From the trailer I clearly heard. "We GOT the gang back together." not "We are GETTING the gang back together."
