Found Hot Topic carded Loyal Subject Grimlock and Optimus Prime 5'5"

Found the carded 5'5" loyal subjects prime and grimlock carded vinyls at hot topic in washington

That's cute. I like the interchangeable Grimlock head

 

Hot Topic has an exclusive release of the Loyal Subjects Optimus Prime and Grimlock that are sold on a card and not in blind packs. These also come with additional accessories that were not included in the blind pack boxes. A buddy of mine sent me this pic from a store this morning. I haven't heard about these and haven't seen any mention here.

Whats new with Grimlock? The blindpack version has the dinosaur parts, gun and sword.

 

Those are kinda cool. Any idea what they cost at Hot Topic?

 

What blind pack are you seeing? I got Grimlock in my lootcrate's blind pack and he only had the gun and sword.

 

$29.50 each, at least on the website.

Is that a "normal" price for these things? Seems pretty expensive for what they are.

 

Those are the Wave 1 though, they come with less.

 

Okay, I just got these in the mail...they are HUGE - about 5.75 inches tall. Much larger than the blind-box versions.

Blind packs are 12 bones a pop at Hot Topic but they've had a BOGO half off for like the past 6 months

 

Major downside is having to be potentially seen going into a Hot Topic.

 

The wave 2 release I reported a few weeks back.

It's not interchangeable. I tried on the smaller one and had to cut the hole to get the original head back on. It wasn't designed to come off apparently.

 

These always look neat, but I just don't care about super-deformed figures nor vinyls, so... easy pass.

 

Must be bad in NY. Here in SoCal, people from many different walks of life go to Hot Topic.  

$30 for these things is kind of steep. Would definitely buy for $5-$10.
