I was looking into concept cars and I just loved this one to be Hot Rod...What do you think Mr. Bay? I know he likes Chevys but this one is (would be) awesome as Hot Rod. What do you think?
If that's used in the movie, it'll look great. But based on what we've gotten...it'll probably be considered too much color. It'll be all black or grey/silver. The toy would have that paint scheme, along with the on-screen color.
http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/trans...-tf4-mega-thread-all-threads-merged-here.html Optimus, Jolt, Ratchet, Bumblebee, Skids, Mudflap, Arcee, Dino, Que, the Constructicons, Sentinel, Leadfoot, Roadbuster and Topspin say hi. But I do agree with that if it was used, it'd look sweet.
There is a gallery of this car on Yahoo...The moment I saw it, it transformed in my mind...This car is crazy cool Here is the link: http://autos.yahoo.com/photos/mclaren-p1-concept-slideshow/mclaren-p1-concept-photo-1348770587.html
Megatron x 3, Starscream, Soundwave x 2, Jazz, Blackout, Sideswipe, Frenzy, Sideways, Laserbeak, Grindor, Barricade, Ironhide, Crankcase, Ravage, Ravage's ball baby, Scorponok, Mixmaster, and the various no-name troopers looks at their own color palette....and slinks away at the colorful characters. I'm sorry, I guess I was "colored" by the various grey/silver and black non-on-screen and repaint toys to see all the colors. *shrugs* Back to Hot Rod, it would be cool to see a guy with a fireball thrower in the next movie, it would be a welcome change to Cybertronian bullets.
Oh yeah, I'm well aware that there seems to be a large amount of the "Dull coloured"/black/silver/gray characters. At least with Transformers there was a reason for their dull colour palette; real-world military vehicles. Would've been nice to have thrown some more splashes of colour into some of those other characters. It seems to be the colour trend for the movieverse. G1 was "red and white", the movieverse is "dull/silver/gray". But for Hot Rod? If they can do Dino/Mirage and Leadfoot, they can totally do Hot Rod in colour. Like a flamethrower? Yes, please.
first off how does anyone know hot rod is going to be in this movie, if they introduce him fine but I think they should do it in the next three movies. Leave Optimus for this movie and then introduce after in the next three
No one does, that's why something like this should be in that massive "Who I want to be in TF4"-thread.
and lets see it'll have a vaginal face like many other movieverse tfs and no yellow iconic spoiler. A screen time of maybe 15 seconds and there you have it. "HOT ROD WAS IN THE MOVIE OMG!" Toy comes out and a while later it's a shelf-warmer that noone wants.
I say that Hot Rod be a brand new FORD Mustang but considering Barricade wasnt even aa actual ford i dont think that will ever happen. Unless they throw out GM motors and make a deal with Ford
It would be a nice car. But knowing Bay Hotrod would have to be coloured green, the logical reasoning being he's a new guy to the team and new guys are considered 'green'. He could fire 'hot rods', hence his name. Rods of fire... bolts of fire... firebolts... Now if only he had a Targetmaster companion named Firebolt...
It's not so much that Bay likes Chevys, it's that GM was the only car company that didn't have its head up its ass and realized that cross-promotion with a summer blockbuster movie based on a popular toyline would probably help them sell cars.
Not this nonsense again. 1) The car in the picture isn't a Hot Rod. 2) Hasbro can't legally use the name Hot Rod. 3) Rodimus isn't even a word. It means nothing to the wider audience unless they put it in the specific context of Prime being killed, and that isn't going to happen.
Dont say that...It would give Bay the idea to kill Prime..like in 86...that sucked. I remember Prime's chest being blown up by Megatron the first time and I hated Bay for doing that.. It was like DeJaVu
