so i have wanted a trailer for titans return Hot-rod since he came out, and as noone has bodered to make an upgrade i had to make one myself.
its an early work in progress proof of concept kinda thing for now, as its made of cardboard and spareparts. im probably going to remove the spoiler as it didnt turn out as well as i hoped it would

Your skill with cardboard is excellent. You would probably be very dangerous if you could get a hold of some styrene. Awesome work so far bro!

Seriously, consider the above quote. One Sheet of Styrene will change your world and solidify your efforts, no pun intended :)

thanks for the styrene tip, i will try it out, but after the next paycheck

i really did not like the potp rodimus. maybe if they cleaned up the backpack kibble. but then there is the trailer mode, i dunno it looks like a 1980s citroen and not a stylish supercar.

of all the hot-rods that have been released titans returns has the nicest vehicle model imo, the robot mode is a little iffy with the gorilla arms but i always fealt that a protectorlike armor would solve that problem. anyway thanks for all the nice comments, this is just my third custom so i am still learning as i go, anyone have a tip for what would make some good exaust pipes?

    Nice work!
I wouldn't remove the spoiler, it's quite signature HotRod.

i ment the spoiler that i glued on to the front of the trailer, it is off center a bit and it bothers me a bit.
rodimus himself sports a custom spoiler from shapeways :)

so as im broke and out of glue i had the bright idea to do some simple modeling in blender....i have never modeled anything in blender before :lolol

this tiny amount of progress took me hours but i am starting to get the basics.

Thanks for the clarification, but now I'm confused about somthin else! :p

Isn't HotRod's spoiler too wide to fit inside the trailer?

And I think you should definitely keep the trailer's under-spoiler. It actually looks good, plus removing it will make an obvious void.

Many of the "beware of dog", "no trespassing", ect.. signs at walmart are made of thin styrene. You could cut those to fit and glue to your existing cardboard frame to smooth it and paint. Just a thought, a couple signs would probably be enough and only run you about 5$.

How's the PVC working? Here in my country I haven't found styrene modeling sheets but they do sell pvc ones.

For wheels I got a bunch of lego imitation minisets. They are cheap and come with wheels that roll well. Just a matter of finding a set that comes with a size and style of wheels that works for you.

i ordered them from ebay, i found wheels aswell. im currently waiting for my next order. they work okay, kinda hard to work with. that being said this is the first creation of this scale i have ever created. i found that cutting the sheets with siccors was easier than cutting with a knife.
