I'll start the ball rolling with a question - What are some of your favorite breeds? Mine are Arabians, Miniature horses, Mustangs, Gypsy Vanner s and Quarter horses.
I love horses. Some of my favorite breeds? Mustang Morgan Arabian Chincoteague Pony Have I ever ridden? Yes, long ago. I miss riding. Have I/will I ever own a real one? No. Some of my favorite colors and patterns: Black Pinto (tobiano and medicine hat) Gray (dark dapple, steel) Bay (almost all shades) Silver (black and bay) Blue roan Amber Cream Champagne I don't care for buckskin, double dilutes, rabicano, or brindle. I'm incredibly picky about overo and splash white. I love a good horse book, from the beloved classics, to some of the lesser known gems. As well as series like The Black Stallion, Thoroughbred, Saddle Club, Best Friends, and Silver Creek Riders. I'm a long time model horse collector. Chincoteague Ponies are another one of my favorite! Loved them ever since I read Misty of Chincoteague. And I absolutely love paints and pintos as well as palominos. OH MY GOSH! THEY ARE SO CUTE!!
This is just me rambling. I'm getting several new models soon. Foals and stallions. One of them was a horse I had in my teen years, so its always nice to get one back. Though I can't say he was a favorite. Sure wish Grand Champions had made nicer moulds for their Arabian stallions. I did a name generator because sometimes I'll find one that doesn't give me stupid, or overly generic names. I got some good ones so far. Cappricio is what I'm renaming the Arabian stallion, as his factory name tried to be clever, but ended up dumb instead. I don't like Sultan Pepper now, anymore than I did back then. I'm trying to think of a name and breed for the black foal, and which adult(s) I'm going to pair her up with. She'll either be an Arabian, Anglo-Arabian, or Spanish Barb. Two of the other names I liked from the generator are, Vanishing Act and Affairs of the Heart. I'll hafta remember that generator, it's pretty good. I'll have to give that generator a try. A lot of my newer models don't have names. I do like the name Vanishing Act. I often just keep the names they came with (if they had one and it's not too ridiculous) or I name them after horses from books/tv.
I had a fantastic cheval tartare in Paris about a decade and a half ago that I've had on and off cravings for since but haven't been able to source in the US. I've had basashi too but aside from the beautiful color I didn't find it particularly special
Three are getting customized, and they're all getting renamed. The markings on that paint foal are not attractive. Looks like they took a paintbrush and scribbled on the sides. I'll attempt to tidy them up, but I'm not very good with overo patterns. If I screw up, I'll just turn him into a tobiano instead. Idk why they gave a colt that particular name and misspelled it? I'm simply changing the markings on the black foal, because I already own one. I also own the appaloosa foal, so she'll become a different color entirely. I'll figure out a name for her after.
