Not that I've seen either master series (head/super-god), and I really only skimmed most of Animated, but the idea of humans that become transformers kind of appeals to me from an inner child perspective, like in a sentai/kamen rider/ultraman sort of way. Sure as an adult I see it for the "appeal to the youngins character" angle it is, but at the same time I can kind of understand why it's genuinely appealing to a lot of kids to see human characters become super heroes. That being said, as an adult I still appreciate it more when such characters actually have some character and aren't just plain-faced protagonists or poorly-planned self inserts.

This isn't horrible, just stupid, but it pops into my head every now and then and makes me lol. A sizeable chunk of the toy collecting side of the fandom collectively convinced themselves that there was going to be a G2 redeco of Combiner Wars Devastator based on absolutely nothing. There was absolutely no hint of it happening, no rumours from covert HasTak agents, nothing, and yet eventually people were talking about it like it was confirmed, it'll be revealed at SDCC, just you wait and see!
