I was thinking we could make a certificate of merit to the person who had done so much for the Decepticons' and Megatron's glory and.... well, there is a Cybertronian city named after him. The certificate could be some on-line doing, or it could be given to him in real life during a Botcon or whatever Transformers organization he attends. I would highly appreciate the later. The text would be something like "For spreading the word of Megatron's glorious deeds, and thus furthering the great Decepticon cause, we give SIMFUR honorary membership of the Decepticon Justice Division as a sign of our respect and appreciation." Yes? No? Please discuss.
Simon Furman also made Grimlock (an Autobot) awesome, so that would be considered traitorus. So really they'd be hunting him down.
(Just to clarify: he didn't create the character, but he did make him awesome.....so Shatter does have a point.)
He's already in the Transformers Hall of Fame, inducted at Botcon, what point would a fictional character giving him a certificate have?
Oh, so you post here? I should check the discussions here more often... As for Furman, most certainly. I dunno whether - or if ever - the Decepticons took the city of Simfur, but at any rate, the more the merrier for the DJD! Plus, everyone looks good in purple.
No, I think you're missing what I'm saying. He's already been commemorated with a similar award, in the real world, so a fan certificate from a fictional group he hasn't even written about in his MASSIVE body of work would be pointless. As to making a SIMFUR a DJD member, SIMFUR doesn't yet exist in the IDW-verse, it's really only been covered in the movie-verse, and there it's an Autobot stronghold, not one of the first cities conquered by the Decepticons.
