This has been at the back of my mind since its announcement. It looks fantastic, and I'm very tempted to get it. Guess we have no info on size or price yet, though?

Also, I loooove that head sculpt.

 

The robot mode looks awesome! But yeah.....that bird mode is a Divebomb tier level of sure....bird mode.

TT Hongli Model (弘利模型) --- I think that's the other brand name that Daban （大班） is using now.

BTW, the height is 28 cm according to the baidu thread.

Oh shit, it's finally happening! And it looks pretty far along too!

 

Yeah, they went for a completely different transformation than the art, and it does NOT work. The legs are supposed to be the legs---how hard was that? Instead, they put half the robot in the bird-butt.

 

To be fair, if you look closely at the prototype from 2 years ago you can see that it deviated from the art with the legs

Looks good but god damn does this thing have any paint on it or is it the lighting, because it desperately looks like it needs paint and those tampographs aren't gonna be enough.

 

Interesting. "bird butt" doesn't bother me too much, because it's a robot, not a real bird. It needs a way to generate thrust to lift it into the air. It'd be like complaining that Pteranodon isn't a hunchback, so why does Swoop have a backpack? Looks pretty good.

Off topic, but this reminds me of a drawing a friend in jr high did years ago (before Beastwars) with Megatron transforming into an elephant (trunk became fusion cannon, tusks became impaling claw).

 

Personally I'm a fan of colored plastics over paint any day, means there's less liklihood of the colors chipping over time

 

Finally a Starscream worth getting.

 

If this thing went triple changer and had a jet mode, even a weak one, I'd be in on this. The parts are kinda there to keep with the identity of the robot mode. That bird mode looks forced into it.
Oh, and an option to put the Null rays on the arms instead of the shoulders would be nice too.

 

If this were purple and real and called "Not-Slipstream" I would be more interested.

Depends on how they're gonna release it ultimately. At one point the company was branded Chariot of the Gods, now it appears to be TT Hong-Li which is a sub branding of Daban. I've heard the two latter names before but not familiar with any of what they've done

Daban used to be a KO company doing Gundam stuff, then it switched to Transformers to avoid the law suite from Bandai.
The product it did up-to-now, I remember are these:
1) 1:1 KO of GT Devastaor
2) 1:1 KO of GT IDW Optimus Prime.
3) KO MP36 Megatron
