In the Movieverse, would they even be capable of creating the Transformers when in the 2007 movie Optimus said that the allspark created the transformers? I'm kinda confused right now. If the Quintessons are in the movies, what purpose will they serve if they didn't create the Transformers? (Please no rude comments)

 

The main theory going around is that they created the Allspark. That way, they'd still be technically building the transformers, just indirectly. After all, Optimus DID say "We know not where it comes from".

The All Spark gives life, didn't say it created or built the Transformers. The Quintessons could've built the Transformers, then used the All Spark to give them life (kinda like their Vector Sigma). Or the All Spark could've been created by somebody or something else, and gave the life to the robots that the Quints created for different purposes.

Remember in the film, the All Spark didn't create something out of nothing. It simply gave life to machines.

Lots of possibilities here.

 

I really do think that's the way they are going. TFs were built by another race and the AllSpark gave them life and they turned on their creators. Seems it will happen again with the human TFs too.

 

What if the Quintessons made the original primes? Then the primes started a rebellion, and took the allspark away from the Quintessons. With Optimus being "The Last Prime", it would explain why Lockdown is after him.

Few things stand out here, it confirms the TF's thought they were born (Lockdown tells Optimus otherwise, giving a hint that they were built by someone, or something else) and that even the TF's did not know where it came from.

History could of been lost of a great war, it's not unheard of, even in real life. So the current TF's would have little, to no knowledge of the Quitessons/Unicrons existence.

Well from the tv spots the ones which visited Earth did attempt to cyberform it. So probably the Quintessons did cyberform Cybertron but that does not mean they created the Allspark and the Matrix.

They used the Allspark to start evolution on Cybertron but the Allspark did not originate from them. Sort of how we presumed in MCU the Tesseract belonged to the Asgard but it turns out it is even older than them.

IDW ROTF prequel comic has a similar plot with aliens having the Allspark before the Transformers did and they were cybernetic as well.

I like to think the reason for the Primes sparing worlds like Earth was what they saw the Quintessons are doing. While the Quintessons are the reason for the Fallen's disdain of organics.

In my mind (some parts edited to fit the movie-verse)

• The One creates the Vok who report on the nature of the universe
• The One - desiring a way to explore the universe - created Unicron and Primus
• Unicron and Primus fought with Unicron eventually being defeated and sealed inside a planet-like prison, however Primus lost his physical form in the process
• Primus lacking a physical form tried to create life and created the Quintessons to manufacture the Allspark
• The Allspark Terraformed Cybertron into a body for Primus
• The Allspark gave birth to the original Transformers named 'Primes' after Primus
• The Fallen (One of the Primes) became inspired by stories of Unicron and separated from the other Primes desiring power and conquest
• Megatron became inspired by The Fallen and founded The Decepticons

 

The Quintessons are like The First Civilization from the Assassin's Creed franchise.

 

Weren't Quintessons good! In Transformers: Energon they helped the Autobots!

 

In G1 they were the evil creators and masters of the Autobots and Decepticons ancestors.

Alpha-Q in Energon started out as a bad guy.

Anyway G1 cartoon TFs has a dual creation origin. While Quints did build them it was the super computer Vector Sigma that gave them sentience.

And Vector Sigma does say "I am Vector Sigma. Before Cybertron was, I was.".

 

Is this a "what if" or have I just been spoiled and there are Quintessons in the movie?

 

Its kind of both... their may be Quintessons in the movie however this is more of a theory thread. For example;

"If Quintessons are in the movie, how would they be explained?"

As far as I know nobody in this thread has seen the film or made a comment yet that spoils the movie - they all seem like theories so far...

 

Like most said already: if the Quintessons are part of the Tf movieverse they will be the creators of the Allspark. If that turns out to be true then will be interesting to see.  

 

do we have confirmation yet that lockdown was talking to Optimus, because he still could be speaking with Galvatron or was it confirmed
