Not interested. The entire Sherlock Holmes story has been done to death lately. Comedy or otherwise.

I don't know what you're talking about. I loved Talladega Nights. It was 100% accurate to the overall NASCAR experience, its drivers, and its fans. Netflix should have it in their documentary section. Also, those foul mouthed kids cracked me up. Spider monkey!

Hell yes, 8 years without a Ferrell/Reilly film has been far too long.

The Ads/PSAs I thought were the best part of the movie.... Roaming packs of street dogs are taking over major American cities..... or Doublemint.. chew it, MF! Since I live in the only northern state with a full legit Nascar track and race, I'm tempted to go to Louden next year and see what a shit show it is in real life.

Ralph Fiennes, Hugh Laurie Join Will Ferrell’s ‘Holmes and Watson’

Ralph Fiennes and Hugh Laurie are joining Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly in the comedy “Holmes and Watson.”

Details of their characters are being kept under wraps by Sony, which unveiled the project in August. The movie will represent the third collaboration between Ferrell and Reilly following 2006’s “Talladega Nights” and 2008’s “Step Brothers.”

With Will Ferell around, I expect that he may either Holmes or Watson. But if this will be taken partly seriously, then either Fiennes or Laurie will take the role and I'd rather see Laurie as Holmes.

Man, I thought this was gonna be a new Robert Downey Jr. sequel. When I saw Will Ferrell's name, I instantly got deflated.

Geez, how many Sherlock Holmes' series need to be running right now? Can't anyone wait to hold off until either BBC's Sherlock, Elementary, or the Guy Ritchie films end?

We've already had this in another thread. And we've already seen photos of Ferrell as Holmes and Reilly as Watson.

It's called public domain. Anyone can do a Holmes story anyway they want.

No disrespect to Will Ferrell, huge fan of his, but there's only one TRUE Sherlock Holmes, and that's Iron Man himself, Robert Downey Jr.

No disrespect to Robert Downey jr, huge fan of his, but there are two people in particular who are about a billion times better and more iconic as Homes than he could ever hope to be on his very best day.

So I'm fine with Ferrell throwing his hat into the ring as well.

And that's why everyone loves public domain. It's so much better to get endless rehashes of things rather than people bothering to create new things.
