    First few minutes: "Oh, is this a comedy about Hollywood actors in the same vein as BoJack Horseman but in live action and a period piece instead of contemporary Hollywood?"

    Then I was like: "DAYMN! I may check it out!"

    The Hayseed mentioned at the end was Rock Hudson who was in fact actually gay in real life but ended up playing Hollywood leading men.
    Had a popular mystery series that ran for a number of years.


    Sadly he passed away from AIDS in the early 80's. He was considered to be the first celebrity to die from the disease and when he passed away it was then begun to be thought of more critically than it had been before by the news media.

    He's was also rumored to have been secretly married to Gomer Pyle actor Jim Nabors. But that it turned out was a bit of a joke from friends as Nabors was very closeted. Though they supposedly had a relationship.
