This is a very good idea! The new RID version shown at ToyFair looks pretty decent as Bulkhead. You did a great job.

From the images, it looks like the PrimeRID version is similar enough that it may also work as a base for a Hoist custom. I'll probably wait till I have both in-hand before I decide which one gets used, and which one gets to stay "Bulkhead". :)

The head is from an original G1 Hoist.

There is no picture of alt mode because I haven't figured out how to make it look like a tow truck yet. That's the tough part.

    Thanks for the comments! :)

I recommend waiting for the Powerizer version before the "Chopping" begins.

Damn, Smog, that looks great allready. I hope you can make it work out because I would love to see it done. I think it's beefy enough to become a credible wrecker.

Thanks man! One of the more glaring issues with the SUV alt mode is just how jacked it is. Tow trucks tend to have a lower profile. I'd just go with smaller wheels, but Bulkhead has some undercarriage that needs clearance. Looks like it'll be an issue with the new version too...

Yea, my guess is that Hoist out of this mold would work better as somethng more on the level of Grapple. Just a heavier duty tow truck for rescue operations, etc.

Yeah, you should definitely wait for the RID version. It looks like it would work even better for this, and that way you avoid chopping up a figure you like. Might be easier to convert into a towtruck too because the shoulders don't form the rear of the truck this time around.

That'll look awesome! If Hasbro doesn't want to make a new mold for Trailbreaker and Hoist, remolding Bulkhead would do just fine.

Well, judging by the pics with the other classics I'd say that maybe the Sideswipe/Sunstreaker or even Jazz arms would go ok, though I'm not familiar with this Bulkhead mold.

Good luck bro, yours is an excellet idea of Trailbreaker custom.

    Looks fantastic!
I love the picture with Grapple! :)
I really wish there was an official Classics Hoist and Trailbreaker!
    Anyway, great work.
