I am debating between getting voyager class recon ironhide and human alliance sideswipe. I don't have any versions of sideswipe, and just have the hftd deluxe version of ironhide.

Which would you get?

 

HA Sideswipe is terrible.

Recon Ironhide is alright, but if you have the hftd one...

I'll recommend HA Jazz.

Recon Ironhide is the best Voyager version of that character, IMO. I'm not a fan of Sideswipe at all.

Recon Ironhide, but I'm biased since he's my favorite of the movie TFs.

Honestly, though, the HA line is my favorite line, and Sideswipe is cool, but the backpack brings the figure down. The design isn't quite on par with the rest of the HA figures.

The Recon Ironhide headsculpt is awesome, as is all the weapons he comes with.

 

Don't even look at HA Sideswipe again. It's absolute trash. If you want a Sideswipe get one of the Deluxes. Recon Ironhide is much better.

 

Think of Ironhide as a weapon pack for the scouts, and of Sideswipe as an actual figure. Assuming you don't have deluxe Sideswipe. If you do, then it's fair game.

 

Hold out for the repaint of Recon Ironhide in HFTD.

 

I only have HA Sideswipe who doesn't' deserve all the shit he gets.

 

Get Recon Ironhide now and wait for the Shadow Blade HA Sideswipe.

 

HA Sideswipe is the worst Human Alliance toy, but that said, he's still a decent toy and worth getting so long as you don't pay full price.

Ironhide I never got, but by all accounts he fixes several problems with the mold, and also comes with glorious weapons that connect to scouts and some deluxes.

Like Brainchild said, Ironhide's main draw is his weapons, whereas Sideswipe is an average figure, but quite large and with some neat weapons.

It's really as to what you prioritise with your collection.

 

Go for Recon Ironhide. Best version of the voyager mold.

HA Sideswipe is easily the worst in the HA line.

 

As with most people, Recon Ironhide. Sideswipe is just a meh figure.

If it were between HA Sideswipe and nothing, i'd suggest you go with nothing.

Yeah, theoretically you could buy it on discount, but every time i pick up the figure, i try to like it i actually start to like it, then i remember the robot mode is a mess.

All HA toys have made a sacrifice or two, but Sideswipe's robot mode is too lacking in detail, too plentyful in kibble.

Sideswipe is for HA completeists only.

Skip it. Buy Recon Ironhide and don't look back.

I say go with HA Sideswipe.Yeah, he's got a huge backpack,but that's the only negative I've got with him.Recon Ironhide is the nicest mold that he has,all the cool weapons,but his springy hood chest pieces drive me absolutely nuts.Mine also doesn't stand the greatest.He's always kinda leaning to one side.

 

Sideswipe is garbage, easily the worst HA.

Ironhide is pretty cool with all the weapons and stuff. Go for him.

 

Recon Ironhide.. at least if you don't like him his weapons can be used for a lot of others.
