Woot! Flagged down somebody at Target and politely asked if they could go get the Universe Constructicons from the back after showing them the DPCI number. No trouble at all. She brought out the case, I pulled Overbite/Repugnus out, and took the other two, case and all.

Yeah that's right, the case. Not only do I keep the boxes, I store them in the shipping cases whenever I can snag 'em.

Well, it was a li'l jab at those who repeatedly make comments toward those who save/value the packaging as if doing so makes you some sort of mutant with a cardboard fetish.

Not that you do...I don't even know offhand who does...just that it seems to come up all the friggin' time. I've never shot back about how throwing away the boxes is 'teh stupid,' nor would I, and never really understood the antagonism the other way in the first place.

It started with Star Wars figures. There's no better way to store those things MOSC than the cases they ship in, so I started grabbing cases every so often going back to the heady days of '95-96.
I've been specifically grabbing Alternator cases to store those in, mostly because I alwaysalways find them still in cases at WM, but other than that, it's kind of random.
This one works out well, because I didn't buy Overbite/Repugnus, and the only other Universe Ultra I ever bought is Soundwave. The case holds three boxes so it seemed like a good one to grab for storage purposes.
