I just re-watched DOTM this weekend (I'm sure many of us did since the DVD/Blu-Ray was released) and I noticed that when Bumblebee/Sam/Carly wreck the Decepticon fighter that it seems to roll over once upon crash-landing... how the hell did Sam survive that?!?
He was hanging off the front of it and it was low enough for him to tumble-roll to the street before it hit the ground.
If you watch carefully, Sam falls off before it does the flip. It's during the rear view right as it's about to crush a couple of those people and it hits that concrete structure. ...or, it's a movie and Sam is (unfortunately) the protagonist. Take your pick.
Yeah, Sam bailed before it actually crashed by jumping and rolling. Honestly the thing I noticed is the ship gets so damaged, and yet if you look closely is pretty much fine save some debris and scorch marks when they exit. (of course it's because it's a prop)
i saw in that scene a person roll on the ground right before the crash and thought sam jumped off right before the crash but idk....
What make me confused is that the fighter was still able to fly where it was just shot down by optimus.
I need to watch this scene again... I still think that the design for the fighter is weak, though I did spot another smaller craft (bigger than the fighter) which seemed to have a better design, but I don't think we get a good close-up of it.
