I wasn't aware that was even a problem.

Seriously. I've had zero problems with that.

In fact, I've had zero problems with the figure altogether.

    Great figure all around IMO.

Reading about how some of you got the leader Screamer at TRU for half price (with purchase of another leader fig) makes me sad and frustrated.

IF this figure ever shows up in my country, it will be around USD 80 (at current exchange rate) :'-(

And buying it on eBay seems no better solution with high price+shipping costs+risk of paying extra 19% import tax...

I guess I will have to wait, just like I am still waiting for leader Jetfire or anything out of HA range besides BB and SW... Man, being a TF collector in Slovakia sucks badly, not importing = no collection.

Looking over the pictures, Leader SS looks great. But I dont have room in my collection for a Leader SS, however I wonder if we may see a Voyager version of this with TF3, similar to the newest Voy. Prime which is basicly a scaled down version of ROTF Leader Prime.

The mold on this Leader SS looks great, the transformation looks good, detailing, extra features and just engineering in general far surpassed the ROTF Voy. SS, let alone TFTM SS. Alot of people have been wanting a Leader SS since TFTM. But I'm going to go against the grain and say I'm really wanting a Voyager SS with this level of detail and engineering, maybe even adding his back boosters. They added alot of detail in the Voy. Prime, I think they could do it again with Screamer.

Anyone think we will see a retool of this for TF3 with his boosters?

Hmm....I've never known Hasbro to retool the back of a figure.

No is the most likely answer.

Wait, so now we're asking for SUPREME class Starscream? After three years of begging for a leader version?

I agree with you. And if one character is getting a Supreme class version for TF3, it better be Megs.

I hadn't thought about it, but that's a crackin' idea. If anyone's overdue and should be massive it's Megatron. Not another damn "Ultimate" Bumblebee (though I'm sure there's going to be another anyway...).

Well, now that I've given it some thought.....

This is a good toy but I wouldn't call it better than Leader Prime. Prime had at least one huge engineering flaw that was idiotic and avoidable (seriously, they couldn't just cut divots for the chest panels to be pulled out?), but both modes looked fantastic. With Starscream, though, the altmode is just.....terribly,terribly pregnant. It certainly looks like a case of gimmicks trumping engineering. I would've rather seen them take the transformation from the Voyager and use that extra budget to give it the refinements it needed. And maybe it's just my figure, but I can NOT get the damn tailfin panel (the one that covers the robot arms) to sit flat in vehicle mode. Always one end pops up, which would imply that the pegging just isn't good enough.

Well, the robot mode is the best Starscream has gotten, but I'm not convinced that it's all that stable. In certain poses he stands as solid as a rock, but if you try other poses and his lower legs aren't turned just right then BOOM, down he goes! A design this top-heavy really demands better foot articulation. Also, even with the pop-out weapons, he could've had proper wrists.

In summation: a good TF, but falls short of greatness. I don't think I'll be buying any more Screamer toys unless they really provide a good reason.

It's complicated. everything has to be pegged in perfectly, from the legs, to the arms. and that panel has to go down just perfectly too.

yeah it will sit flush, but like valkysas said, has to be perfect.

After seeing images of the upcoming Masterpiece Movie Starscream with the landing gear tires painted, I thought I should paint the tires on my Leader Starscream as well...

Here's mine... Looks way better now with the tires painted as it should be in the first place...
