Cool man :) . Whether you like it or don't, there were posters above who apparently can't notice them at all. It is definitely a bold and unique style choice, and a major motif of the figure. Not everybody will like it but hell, it's there for all to see regardless.

I have been looking at this figure for several hours and absolutely love the detailing. Once you see the final colors, the details are more subtle. One of my favorite parts of this figure are his legs. It is such a dynamic design.

going by memory the detailing on the guns is very reminiscent of the original G1 toy's. Oddly he is the last G1 toy I acquired all those years ago and he still stands tall and proud in my room at my parent's house. Oddly enough he stands basically mint...no serious fading etc. I gave up on TF's shortly after that....it was on to nintendo for me. lol. Anyway yeah....that detailing on the gun i'd say is warranted and the other detailing is just sort of cool. :)  TJ's vid link might have sold me....

Yup, there are plenty of us who had this same conversation. It is a bit much, not enough to turn me away, but I think having some areas of rest for the eyes would have felt much more balanced.

Overall, a great figure and am really excited for it.

Side note: there isn't one third party figure that I don't have some issues with. Things that I wish were different, but in the end, I usually end up just appreciating them for what they are.
Giant, for instance, was sooo close to perfection for me, but the gestalt head design was a real fumble, again, not enough to keep me away, but disappointing. He should have had a tough guy face.

I also wish FP stunticons heads were more representative of their animation models. But I still enjoy them for what they are.

    Eh, C'est la vie.

Now I want someone to make a Giant head with an interchangeable Jason Statham/Vinnie Jones/Bruce Willis face :D

That'd just end up looking like Assaulter's unmasked face I think... eww.

Yea that pic with grim actually swayed me quote a bit I still don't think he's that G1 looking but hes definately worth it for the size and I don't think his look is bad just not accurate. I would easily pay 200 for a figure this quality and size. He's just definately not G1. Doesnt mean he isn't worth it.

    pre-ordered.

If only Toyworld hadn't released Hardhead so soon. Damn, I really wanted this fella.

Smart and I agree. The FP insecticon KOs were pretty hard to tell apart from the real deal, generally speaking. Then you look at the ninja webbing and you can spot the KO from a mile away.

It's pretty easy to notice that the weapons are dull on the KOs

Waiting for RK to get their pre-orders online. Hexatron vs Uranos is a G1 Season 4 re-match waiting to happen.

I'm not going to go into anything specific, but you might notice they also don't have any listing for Bovis or Talon, and why would they have missed the chance for big sales during the discount period? Does not compute.

You might want to make yourself some plans to get Hexatron elsewhere.

I am sure local shops in Hong Kong will stock this "straight out of the factory". Singapore though may not be in luck.

I'm not doubting that it is an added benefit, but I think it is really nothing more than that. Do you think 3rd parties are going to start sculpting crazy patterns into all their toys to create what essentially amounts to DRM for toys? I think not.
