Sorry, but I totally wanted the last word with a recap.

What we've learned so far:

Sixshot is actually EightShot. With 2 unofficial transformations. 1 being a winged wolf, the other a starfish! There is also a possible NINTH transformation in which you bend the legs at the thigh to a 90 degree angle and bend the the arms at the shoulder also to a 90 degree angle to become...armored assault table mode!

Bumblebee is not a triple changer even if you transform him with his doors open.

 

I used to transform my G1 Bumblebee into bulldozer mode all the time (feet extended out in vehicle mode). He was my first unofficial triple changer  

 

Nice! I'll see if I can do that with Artfeather Bee.

I like to transform MP-10 with his left arm still in bot mode. I call it, "the blinker's out mode."

 

No one is voting here. In the Headmasters cartoon, they show and say it is the secret 7th mode. You're arguing with the cartoon.

 

OMG, so serious. I'm commenting on previous comments. If you want to go along with the cartoon and call it the secret 7th mode than go ahead.

I can state an opinion, and say that it's silly to call it a 7th mode, when it is is the wolf with it's legs back and wings out.

 

Let it go, this supposed to be a discussion about a fantastic new toy, not people trying to argue to have the last word about something reasonably ambiguous.

Moving on...the one thing that has really been holding me back on this figure is just the fact that, like the G1 version, when it is transformed into any mode (not counting robot of course) other than the wolf and the laser, it doesn't really look like much of anything.

I would have liked to see some cockpit details, or something to just show that it is more of a vehicle.

Then again, I do understand the limitations that would present themselves when engineering a figure this complex and sometimes details have to be left out.

 

Oh yeah, lets go with the Japan head masters version... This is the country who took Arcee the female warrior and turned her into a real housewife of cybertron.

And duh, MMC cant give any info on that 7th mode because its supposed to be a "SECRET" 7th mode. Although I dont get why anyone would fan mode that up... it was an absolutely stupid transformation.

 

This coming from the country that up and made Arcee a post-op transvestite gender experiment.

The MMC version will be able to do the "Secret 7th mode", because it is essentially a folded up flattened version of the wolf mode.

 

The secret seventh mode is really because one wild night with the Constructicons to celebrate Wheelie turning 2,100,000 years old, he was plastered drunk on high % energon and he tried to go home, but he screwed up his transformation and went into a hybrid wolf/jet mode. Not wanting to lose face in front of the Constructicons, he started calling it his 7th SECRET mode, after all no one wants to be made fun of, ESPECIALLY by Wheelie!

 

So is there any info. for when we should being seeing this guy?

I keep going back and forth on this guy but if anybody had him this second, I'd definitely have ordered one by now. I guess it's just jitters from all these other "no brainer" figures that I PO on what what seems like a daily basis.

 

I bet the ghost of Ultra Magnus would disagree.

Yes, but this is from the Japanese. They are the masters of taking completely ridiculous things, and throwing dramatic angles, music and yelling at something until it's awesome.

Look at GaoGaiGar. Giant mech combines with another mech which gives it... a comically oversized hand, and a gigantic squeeky hammer. On paper it's fundamentally ridiculous. But they play it perfectly straight. And it works.

These people make playing a card game dramatic.

 

What I would give for a new GaoGaiGar that transfoms and is posable. sigh

 

Preordered and will be my first Phase Sixer reporting to Hegemon. Now patiently waiting for a Overlord of the same size. Then of course, I would want a similar Black Shadow and then members of the DJD and - OH GOOD LORD!! see what you have started MMC???? LOL

 

Is hexatron going to get the MMC metallic/shiny paint treatment? I hope so.
