Cool! Used to have scans of this book but lost them during a hard drive crash. Might as well get the actual book this time around.
    Preordered!

Does HLJ usually carry something like this? That's usually my go to site for Japanese TF stuff.

Yes, but I couldn't tell you if they're carrying this specific book. Chances are high though, I'd say.

Seconded. I've had this book since 2003-ish and I still check it from time to time. This is a G1 bible, recommended for even the most casual fan.

I have the original 2001 version and it is easily my favorite G1 Transformers book. So excited to see I have a chance to get the Deluxe version.

Okay so I'm a total dummy, but I really want to own this - what's the easiest way for a dude in America to snag one? I've never bought through Amazon Japan before, is it a big pain? Should I see if HLJ comes up with it?

You will need to make a separate Amazon account (can't use your US one) but other than that ordering from amazon.co.jp it is just like ordering from amazon.com.

There is stuff they won't ship internationally but this isn't such an item.

Do I have to go through like a weird proxy service for payment or anything or can I just use my regular ol' American credit cards?

You shouldn't, mine have always worked. Depending on your card there may be a foreign transaction fee but besides that it is just like buying something from somewhere else.

Saw it go from preorder to sold out today. Address hassle made me not take action soon enough... any chance of reprintings?

Damn, missed the preorder link til a few minutes ago and it was too late. Now I just have to hope the email alert actually works since I don't currently have any version of this.

So does anyone have Mark Bellomo's Transformers books? Wondering how these Generations books compare.
