It should be clear as night and day to most regular members here, that we've got quite a few choices when it comes to Devy, and inevitably, there will be polls in the future asking about what each of our choice is in this decision, so I wanted to start a poll to perhaps collect data for people that are interested in unbiased data for the decision to buy 3rd party Devy.

EDIT** : If you have committed and preordered Hercules, than your choice should at least include Hercules. (I mean, you are at least 1/6th in, right? :p  )

I am not including CD Devy upgrades. I made sure my polls should have ALL the choice a person can make. If you just want CD devy and nothing else, you belong to the "None" group. The same as if you are waiting for another devy to come out, be it official or 3rd party or 4th or what nots. If you are waiting for a review to make the decision, it is "unsure". If you have decided pretty firmly beforehand, then the rest of the choices should be clear.

To start off, I am buying all 3. A green giant, a yellow giant, and a Hercules.

This poll assumes these 3 are the only options we have.

Also, if you are only buying Hercules, but are buying like 3 Sets of Hercules, you are still "Hercules only" choice.

/will learn in the future to make an even better poll. I think maybe it would have been better "data" collection if I separate the unsure more.

Hurcules, its pefect, actually in scale with my classic and wonderfully engineered.

Giant is tiny, has moronicly large shoulders, part forming arms, the lone bot are wofully small and far less interesting and its only $200 cheaper than Hurc which given how inferor it looks in comparison is not enough.

I voted for all 3. But that's if Maketoys does make a green one.

Well, the reason that it would happen:

    1. Their website I think says it at some point (the box set at feb)
    2. It would seem silly that they would not capitalize the most common paint. I think they maybe going like a Perfect Effect way (ala, Frumble)

    just my opinion, ofcourse ^^;

I voted unsure. I prefer MakeToys Giant's aesthetics in combined and altmodes from what I've seen so far, as well as the size/scale in those modes.

I will be getting one of these molds, I'm just unsure if it will be the yellow or the green (if/when it comes out).

If the initial release is yellow/purple (G2 style) I will most likely wait/hope for a green version. If they come out with an unexpected paint scheme (yellow/black), or if it knocks my socks off and I can't wait, I may go with the first batch.

Why is there no choice for all three of them and four of each for MISB, Bot, Alt and Combiner modes?

Because I stated on my first post, if you buy multiples of one, it's still considered that one choice.

    Ala,

If you are gonna buy 10 hercules, you are still get hercules, so your choice should be "Hercules only".

I can only separate the decisions so much before

    1. the data becomes not useful
    2. the max choice of 13 for a poll is reached.

In the case you mentioned, you would be going to the "buy all 3" choice. The choice did NOT specifiy how many of each of the 3 you will buy. Hope it clears it up for ya;_)

    I was only busting balls.

If some could actually afford to do that, it would be insane.

Alright, I will just uh... deal with my balls being busted then ;)

I know a few people here who could afford that, and probably would be doing that. But yeah, its a rare instance. Your choice of 3 of each would be 4K+ on just devastator. xD

BTW, I didn't realize you can do it to show who voted and in which way. Very useful.

I'm going to buy whichever one causes more people to argue with each other over nothing.

I'm already locked in for Hercules.

I might wind up with a yellow Giant set, if only because the individual robot designs intrigue me somewhat. But the price has to be good.

The Hercules set makes a far better stab at a Classics-ized update, IMO. Updated, but familiar. Giant has this weird thing going on where he's simultaneously too slavish (combined mode), yet entirely unrecognizable (individual robots). And he has add-on kibble (yuck!).

I am surprised that there are votes for Hercules + Yellow Giant only, and even more surprised at a vote at "yellow giant only". Just because I think most people are aiming for their classics devy from here, and yellow giant always seems to be a "second choice" after Hercules or green giant. Quite interesting actually!

I think the over all costs of each is what is swaying the votes.
