Mold-wise, they're identical. Deco-wise, the Henkeis are different from the NA versions. The Henkeis are basically straight repaints of Henkei Starscream, with the same wing stripe patterns. BotCon Thundercracker is a different shade of blue than Henkei Thundercracker, and the Henkei has more silver accents then the BotCon version (which has more black accents). Henkei Skywarp's purple is more lilac than magenta. The Henkeis, of course, also have chromed missile launchers.

Psst...this should be moved to the toy forum.

But anywaysh, the U.S. release Skywarp is almost hot pink and black, not G1 purple like Henkei.

Yeah, they're different to the US ones. Skywarp's a lot closer to his G1 deco, rather than having the more vibrant slashes of purple and silver on the back of his jet mode.

Never knew Thundercracker used Starscream's paint mask for Henkei, but I guess that makes a lot of sense.

Gonna hafta agree. I like the Henkei one better. Glad I bought him, should snuggle nicely between my Starscream and Skywarp.

I also think the US ones are better. Skywarp is definitely better on the US version and I slightly prefer the Botcon TC, but it's close. The slightly shinier, more metallic blue looks a little better, but not much. Plus, I think the deceptcion logos look really weird against the blue background. If you're into G1 paint schemes, though, your choice is obvious.

I'm awaiting my Henkei Thundercracker and Skywarp in the mail. I think they look better then the US versions, cheaper to get too.

They look way better than the US releases. Henkei = pure win.

I'm a fan of the US releases as well. The Henkei's (for once) seem to be lacking something, and the chrome launchers do not do it for me. Still nice figures, but not nice enough to shell out for when the originals are good enough for me.

I prefer the darker more 'toy-accurate' blue of Botcon Thundercracker to the lighter more 'toon-accurate' blue of Henkei Thundercracker.

The chrome I don't like, but the lighter purple on Henkei Skywarp I do like. It's not enough for me to pay ~$70+ for, but that lighter purple is "Skywarp-purple". Much more accurate to the original toy deco, which made Skywarp a bit unique as opposed to the darker, 'generic decepticon' purple.

Both the US and Japan versions of TC and SW look good IMO! I can't wait to pick my set up! :)

I also have to agree. I like the Henkei versions better. Even though the chrome is unnecessary, they still look better than the Hasbro versions.
