My most exciting custom to date. Punch/Counterpunch. Took some inspiration from Jin and FR for the colour scheme while the head sculpt was painstakingly carved to as much as my ability to match a picture of a G1 counterpunch that I got from the net. He's gonna have some very interesting add ons within the next few days. So stay tuned! First Add ons. Second add ons!!! Final Add ons!!!!!
By far the best one thats been done, thanks to the shiny paint job. I mean its a sports car why paint it any other way?! Gorgeous though, even if i havnt got a clue who it is.
OMG that is so cool! Okay the only thing I found is that the heads are in reverse for example the one with the face plate should've been for the Decepticon side, while the other one without a faceplate being on the side of the Autobots , but thats your call. Either way its Punch/Counterpunch.
nice job sabby. though still stuck in that comfort zone I'd like to see you out of. Thanks for the credit, i guess. not everyone likes shiny ______ Like Ezilla said, the head's on backwards Plus, the his autobot logo has to be hidden if you want to pull off who he is character wise. Lastly, the yellow you picked is actually too light this time around, Punch should be almost like an orange (the yellow you used to use) I think he'll do well on ebay.
I meant, if you're going with the "1 side gets the mouth plate" look (like mine) it should be Counterpunch (the Decepticon/blue side) Techinically, they should both have mouth plates though.
It looks great. The shiny silver spoiler looks amazing. And the color detailing choices on each of the robot modes are great artist choices also. Upon reading your discussion on the face (which you made look great just the way you chose to do it. He's got more personality in his face this way), I grabbed these pics:
Thank you! These were the pictures which I was basing my head sculpts on. Punch was with a mouth plate (like optimus prime) and Counterpunch was with a mouth. I guess that there's a few variations going around eh? And thanks for the comments guys. Been sick today. Not much energy to reply to everyone.
Damn! Love the colors. I always wondered with every Punch/Counterpunch custom. What do you do with the hands? Do you take them off and reverse them?
I guess I got that face deal from the old G1 cartoon. So don't be hard on yourself about this deal. Your way is awesome and unique and thats what matters.
