Just got Henkei Megs today. He's a pretty neat figure. I can't decide which deco I like better. The Henkei Megatron looks more mature, but US Classics Megs looks funner. The morningstar from the G1 Megatron reissue fits well on the underside of the fists. Saddly the sword doesn't fit well at any angle. I wish that an enterprising kitbasher would make a new fist for sale for Megatron's right hand so it can be turned around. I like Megratron to be displayed with his fusion cannon above the arm. Currently the only way to do this is with his hand upside down. If a kitbasher wanted to make a small mint at BotCon. He could make such a fist to sell.
Take the right arm apart [two screws] and just flip the fist around. Was experimenting with removing his fusion cannon and this can be feasible as well.
okay i had a thread debating on buying this and seeing a picture off ebay and bbts made up my mind...so getting it.
it looks alot like that cheap KO one that was on ebay that was primarily red...stilll looks better than the hasbro one though.
Already tried that. Unless I'm doing it wrong, the fist has a lip that prevents his hand from going strait when reversed (no jokes please ).
Its amazing how much better it looks when all that grey plastic is painted silver. I'm glad I made my custom, not only did I get it a year earlier, but I think it looks better than this one.
The TFC 06 Morning Star does look good on him, doesn't it? If only I could find a decent axe to put on Prime - right now, he's wielding a KO of Da Garn's big chrome sword.
OK, pet peev time. But the weapon associated with G1 megatron isn't a morning star. A morning star is a club with spikes on it. Megatrons weapon is a military flail, NOT a morning star. Even if it is, wrongly, described as such.
I got this Megs two days ago. It's how Claasics Megs should have been. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flail_(weapon) The term "morning star" actually refers to the head of a weapon(the small round spiked ball) and can be used for either a morning star mace (on a shaft) or flail (if on a chain).
Read that article. It's full of shit. I've read too much stuff that wasn't written by amatuers that call mace on a chain a flail. Irregardless of whether the head has spikes or not.
