How does he do against the test of time? Recently got some money (woo!) and have been thinking about getting him so i can have a definitive Megatron. Thing is, I'm kinda roughish with my Transformers. I mean, I dont toss them across the room, but I also dont keep them mint or anything. I transform them often and whatnot. So how does he stand up to wear and tear? Chipping, rust, possible GPS? dont know much about him, figured this is the place to ask. He's pretty cool, right? Also, how much would you pay for one?
mines great.....had him in the attic for bout a year in the south carolina heat and its still great shape, chrome no chip and just like new
He will probably be around 40 bucks plus shipping anywhere you buy it edbomberToys Henkei D-01 Megatron - Henkei (Japanese Classics) - Transformers
i've had mine for about a year now, only transformed him a few times and everything seems fine. feels quite sturdy.
I got 2 from BBTS.com a year+ ago. there great toys. I haven't a clue how these toys can take a beating, kicking & so forth. as i've always been gentle with my toys.
Got mine for ten bucks MISB from a nice member here and he's rad. I'm not a Megs fan at all and I dig him. The chrome may chip off in time, but that's just how things go. I'd get him.
I've had mine since April '08 and it's still in the condition I bought it at. But I don't really transform it often (maybe 4 or 5 times total to and back). I'd imagine some wear over time if you're handling the toy regularly, that's just how it goes. But there shouldn't be much of a problem otherwise.
Henkei Megs is far superior to the Classics Megs (though I did buy Classics Megs, it is a great mold). Yeah this has happened to mine too, and there's a small spot on his chest where the coat over the chrome is messed up, but damnit if he doesn't still look nice. Don't get the US release, Henkei all the way for this one.
He is a good investment, especially since he is in scale with classics, and is SOOO much better than the classics version IMO.
