I just got a RID Ultra Magnus But I can't seem to get him to stand up. The backpack is weighing him down badly.
(can this toy not stand properly with batteries installed?)

Some image gallerys and youtube videos suggest it's easy. But I'm getting frustrated and decided to ask for help from tfw2005.

    Thanks.

Mine stands properly. How strong are your hip and knee joints? I can see it being rough if those are worn.

Aye. If those hip joints go, the entire fig goes. I have no such issues, but you could always use the gun as a third leg for him to stand on while still looking cool.

(Please, no gun/third leg jokes:) )

Mine has absolutely no problems standing. Are you sure you transformed him right?

Hmm... well it's not the hip/knee joints. He just keep tumbling backwards under the weight of the backpack.

oh..I think I may have it. It's a bit wobbly but I think I got it balanced.
Anyone know how to move striped & overtightened screws? I need to open the battery door.

Usually lean mine foward a little bit to balance the weight out

Or put in in the shelf corner and lean them against something

So his bizarre balance is inherent to the design, I thought so. Have you tried connecting his guns to his shoulders?
