EDIT: I found a website that lists all the Anime shows broadcast on the Sci-Fi Channel (Anime Shown on Syfy). We now have 4 items left to solve.

The title says it all. I only remember these from when I was younger. Very much in bits and pieces. I don't remember names. Now here's some examples: RED = SOLVED

Stuff seen on the SciFi channel in the 90's:

1. Okay so there's this young guy in a white & black suit with a helmet and a yellow crest on it and his dog (that I think is a robotic dog) and they fight these evil robots that have enslaved humanity, and there's some female love interest of this guy as well. Casshern

2. This next one is kinda like Star Wars. There's this young blond kid with some blue crystal in the back of his hand. He shares this with some green flying dragon/alien dude who has a red crystal on the back of his hand. There's also this Chewbacca type guy that is the best friend of the young blond kid expect he can talk english. There's also this young princess leia type girl and I think a room in some fortress with giant slug monsters that try to eat them all. Hoverbike thingies. Yeah, that's all I remember. Lensman

3. There's this one guy who is a super soldier and he joins up with this other group of soldiers on some post-apocalyptic world. He kills a shit-ton of people. He has this badass suit of armor and he fights this 3-stage robot at the end. Oh, he also bangs some chick and then does something at the end that freaks her out. M.D.Geist

4. People live on a planet (Mars?). 2 star-crossed lovers (one I think is royalty(princess), the other a resistance fighter). Eventually the planet "pulls a Krypton" and after a couple days finally blows the hell up and everyone dies except the parents of either the boy or the girl lover. Parents survived by using a rocket to fly into space. They look back onto their planet from space in their spacesuits. They eventually land on earth during prehistoric times. They teach early man and help him evolve. E.Y.E.S. of Mars

5. Female red-haired bounty hunter whose brother goes missing and friend dies after a nasty run in with a flying saucer type of alien. Samurai alien shows up with the flying saucer type alien as it's hat. Turns out it's a symbiotic alien/suit and the missing brother is inside it against his will. The chick also takes a hot shower. Nudity ensues. Iria: Zeiram the Animation

6. Old dude confined to a robotic bed. At demonstration of said bed, it becomes sentient and escapes. Press is not amused by demonstration. Creators of said bed go after it, chaos ensues. Roujin Z

7. Female ninja/samurai hunts demons wither her male friend. Final battle has some old guy who was helping the heroes die because he was actually demon but no one knew it since he was a good guy the whole time. Him dying and turning out to be a demon was a shock to the heroes.

8. Vampire that battles Dracula. Blond chick, and lambs. Reminds me of Castlevania. That's all I got. Vampire Hunter D

9. Robots and a traveling circus? I only remember that. Robot Carnival

10. 3 chicks fight green aliens in space. I think one had blond hair, one red, and one blue. The blue haired chick gets knocked up by an alien and rapidly gives birth to a Human/Alien hybrid which then rapidly develops into a full grown man with blue hair. I remember he later walks into a pond or lake. I think the hybrid then rapidly develops into an adult. That's it. Gall Force: Eternal Story

11. Little blond girl (she's young, like 10 years old or younger in appearance) who is actually a robot built by an old man. She has a brown teddy bear. She stays the same age while he grows old and dies. I think they live in a big house in the desert/out west (think like a dry lake bed area).

Possible non-SciFi Channel Animes/OVAs seen in the 90's:

12. Fighter jets vs. Green humanoid aliens that invade earth. The aliens have a chamber room with a circular alien roundtable they stand (not sit down) around to discuss their evil plans. Like Robotech without the transforming aspect. That's all I got on that one. I REMEMBER WE ALSO RENTED THIS ONE ON VHS SO IT IS OUT ON VIDEO.

13. Some big muscly dude with sun glasses, a green tank-top, and little patch of white hair on the top of his head. He's smiling until suddenly when he gets his head blown off in slow-motion. That's it. I SAW THIS ON A 90's 1800-COMMERCIAL FOR VARIOUS ANIME MOVES ON VHS YOU COULD ORDER.

i don't recall key being blonde though? plus he is looking for movies, and not a series, and i know while the last 2 "episodes" of key are an hour long *or more* each i doubt that is what he means, though i am curious to know the real title for number 11 now...

all the rest of these sound right though.

I remember Iria, Gall force, Casshern, Yokho, street fighter, and vampire hunter D being there that's for sure, a long with Dominion Tank Police, Green Legend Ran *i think was the title* and i remember them showing Ghost in the Shell, Akira, and Battle Angel. too.

 

here is one i saw but cant remember. was a group of people fighting against some aliens or something, i cant remember what, but they are like traveling around the planet, at the end the world becomes a giant red sphere, and everyone seems to have survived by going into a ancient sword.

 

Hmm, the only other Girl Robot Anime I remember airing in the US at that time is Armitage III. Plus she had blond hair. Was there some sort of backstory that showed her being built? I really don't remember.

What about Lily Cat? was there a robot girl in that? I only saw it once or twice back in the 80's.

Any way Key was a very bad guess.... sorry.

...... and #12 to me sounds like Yukikaze but that didn't come out until '02.

Sounds like fantasy... haven't seen to many of those.

 

I am looking for a movie, where a little child has a female looking robot which looks after him, than he grows up and is on a space ship or something and is in a somehow close relationship to that female robot and later there is a giant phoenix and everybody dies. Than you see them resurrected on a beach, the female robot is now his mother and the former man is now a child again, her child.

Familiar to anyone?

p.s.: I have seen that movie when I was a kid, I guess that was about 18 years ago?

Galaxy Express 999, not Space Express. And I love the first movie of the 2 of them.

 

There's 2 of them? I thought there was just one movie...

 

Now that I think about it, #13 might be a death scene from MD Geist.

Given that most of what you listed are actualy OVAs not movies (Lensman and robot Carnival were actual movies...the rest named so far were OVAs)...This could be a number of different things.

God Bless Dancouga got a limited VHS release...although a transforming super robot TV show, they didn't transform for the first dozen episodes and IIRC the first VHS tape was just the first 3 episodes edited together back to back.

Also maybe it was "They were 11!" or the obscure Salamander OVA...Could even be Yamato/Star Blazers related. If this was the late 80s to late 90s it could even be one of the Korean things that got dumped to VHS.

Real hard to tell without more info  

 

Good catch Frisky! I loved Birth, but I'm quilty of not remembering it so well it seems. But, I didn't love it for the story, it was the animation. So that's why I didn't make the connection.

That leaves just 2 more.

 

^I think that one was either a series or a few movies. I think the main hero had black hair and a red jacket and red pants and a yellow undershirt.

 

Just a guess but it sounds like the chopped up hack job done to Windaria, that got released as Once Upon a Time.
