Back in the 80's when TF mania was everwhere, there was TF, Go-Bots, Voltron, Robotech, and "other"

Not really knowing much about them I'd pick up all sorts of knock offs and imports everywhere from drugstores to import/export shops.

Here are some descriptions, does anyone know/remeber what these are?

A Green Steam train. Most notible was the boiler rotated 360 to relocate the smokestack to the back. The chest was the cab. The cowcatchers were the hands. The arms were the drive wheels which came off to be relocated to the sholders. The legs were the coal car behind the engine.

A red mega car, which I rember being named "X" it has AWSOME box art which bore no relation to the brick that the toy was. The car was a tri-miran racecar with a T shaped chrome rear wing. It had 6 wheels, 4 on the forward pontoons and 2 in the rear. The arms folded into the shoulder pods rather similarly to WWi Grimlock.

A light Blue Peacock. The wings were in the folded position and opened like clamshells off either side.

A Red Owl, the owl head tilted forward and inverted becoming the robot chest. The wings formed the arms/shoulders. With 'more than a little' imagination, it had a flight mode with the wings out. (although this exposed the robot arms)

A Blue Hawk, which for some reason remings me of Terracon Blot. I rember this developed very loose knees rather quickly but it had an ambitious complex series of joints at the knees that allowed humanoid articulation in robot mode and reverse knee bird legs in beast mode.

There were more and I think they were part of the same series (chinese possibly?) but not knowing the name of it, it's hard to google it.

Does this ring a bell to anyone? :confused2

Wow in under 37 minutes too!

The train is wrong though, I've seen that it's like a "super" version. There was a basic that I had, it was less,,,,,colorfull.

    But wow that's it.

And Now I remeber D.A. Tona too.

The train is w/o a doubt a Batrain from Sasuraiger. It was released in two color decos and was produced by Takutoku and Matsushiro. It is one of my favorite bots of all time.

If you are interested in selling it please PM me and we could work out a cash deal or a trade. I really want one for the train mode.

I used to have the green train you are talking about the arms weren't really attached to the figure, you could remove them to form the cow catcher. I got it for christmas one year in a box full of Convertors. Got the Train, the Roadbuster figure, the SDF1, and one of the robotech knockofs. All I know is thathe Roadbuster was confiscated from me in 4th grade by a teacher. I'm sure if I look around I could find them stashed in boxes.

There is also a convertors version of Batrain that is about 4" tall. The Takutoku one is between is about 10".
