Well, Fangry is one of my fav. cons from waaay back in Marvel Comic days - but his G1 toy leaves a lot to be desired. (The reason why I made a kitbash "Classics" Fangry from BM Noble/Savage, but that's for another time).

Thing is, I've gotten 3 G1 Fangry's so far, and all three have the same problem - in robot mode, you cannot fully rotate the hip-joints, so he's always bent forward in robot mode. Is this an assembly error, is the toy intended to look this way? Or is there any way to fix this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Due to his design, Fangry permanently leans a little bit, his robot mode legs unable to hold a perfectly upright pose. You can solve this by unscrewing the wolf arms and removing the springs from underneath.

Heh, a reply after 2 years...

Thanks, I have figured out this afterwards, by simply removing the springs I solved the problem.
