Sorry if this was brought up before but I can't seem to find any existing thread on this...

Yours truly was one happy camper indeed as I returned from the post office with the planet devourer. I got him loose but all parts are complete (have just realised the small pieces connecting the wings to his body weren't present :( ) and in good condition.

As I freed him from his prison of bubblewraps, his chest sprung open and the lil' bugger took a shot at me but missed   Problem is I can't get the chest to close thereafter, have tried pushing the chest covers back as much as I could but they just resue to stay closed.

Had to whip out my tools to take him apart, and can't seem to find anything wrong. The minicon port latch behind his neck still works but I suspect it can't get a good hold on the chest cannon somehow. Added to the mystery is coil of greased spring that seems to have appeared out of nowhere...

Sorry for the bad explanation, will try to get some pics whan I'm back home to better illustrate the problem but any feedback/advice would be much, much appreciated!

    Thanks people!

It's funny you mention this because for Christmas I got a Unicron. After I spent 20 MINUTES UNDOING ALL THOSE @#&%ING TWIST TIES :banghead: , I had the same problem.

I found if you hold the right door (the one without gears) open and push in the missile and chest launcher and just let the other door go. You may have to try this a couple of times, but *knocks on wood* it worked for me.

Thank you so very much Optimist Prime! (yes, I'm an optimist too) I'll try it out later tonight to see how it goes, and congrats on your MISB (?) Unicron! :thumb

I think Hook had the same problem few days back. Try the search function to find his thread. I think he disassembled the chest and took the knife to make the notch that hooks to the gun and holds, a bit deeper.

The first Unicron I bought had the same problem. I had to return it, and got one that worked fine

Thanks for the pointers razorclaw! I must've missed his thread that was like, just a day or two before mine. Guess what? My gf just hit me on the head as she was able to get the chest to close properly. Keyword: push the cannon in, not the chest pieces... :sly:

Hmm, I'll go to hook once I've gotten some pics of the mysterious spring that sprung out of Uni. And I'd be buy looking for the missing wing pieces, or new sets of wings altogether :(
