    OK, I admit upfront that I have Not Been Paying Attention during most of 2010, and I did some searching to try and catch up:

    1. Last I heard, we knew Animated Voyager Thundercracker has been manufactured and packaged, though of course there are no concrete details on release. I've given up wondering about American Animated releases, and no, this isn't another speculation thread on his American release

    2. I thought it was a given that he would be released in the Japanese Animated lineup, but a quick search through the resources section only shows the Activator.

    3. There are several threads/pics around the net about Voyager TC, and he does look more like the American style than the Japanese style, so;

    Is there a Japanese Voyager Thundercracker release planned?
    If so, is it the version we have seen, or would we expect to see a different deco, like the difference between the US and JP Skywarps?

    The reason I ask is because I have a US Skywarp in a sealed box that I'm not sure what to do with. I know a US TC release is a long shot, and I'm only interested in them as a pair. If US TC probably won't ever happen, I'd either have to find one on the gray market, or else just sell off SW - I don't like the mold well enough to make a custom pair. But I like the JP Skywarp deco a lot better, and I could see myself going through the trouble of importing that one, if I had a TC to match, but the TC we have seen actually matches the US release better. Why the hell did I ever decide to make TC and SW the focus of my collection? Could someone go back 20 years and stop me from doing that so I could avoid this frustration with nearly every TF line?

    There is only one "style" of Thundercracker, unless you're confusing the Alternator figure with something else.

    The Animated line is TRU exclusive for now until Hasbro decides to stop or not release the remaining figures.

    I'd say its probably a 50-50 shot right now. As long as the rodimus/ironhide release sells as well as the arcee/ratchet release did (ok, maybe only arcee), then TRU would have no reason not to carry another wave, especially if they have all of the bargaining power (which they would if these are all boxed and sitting in a warehouse already). I'm keeping my hopes up, as Animated is probably my favorite line right now.

    Did Hasbro actually say that Voyager Thundercracker has been put into mass production? Or was this conclusion reached when pictures of a packaged sample started circulating?

    It would seem likely, although no information yet.

    What Animated Voyagers have been TRU exclusive so far?

    None, I was pointing out that all of the new TFA figures have been TRU exclusive.

    I thought I had read eyewitness accounts of the mass production/packaging and storage, but I realize that this is the Internet we're talking about.....

    We know that, but we also know that there's no such thing as a trend when we're talking about Hasbro, and especially when we're talking about exclusive releases. We know Animated is doomed to be store-exclusive releases only from here on out because the line is dead, but there's nothing on either side that points to Animated being TRU only. Until MP Grimlock came along, we might have assumed that any new MP figure would be a walmart exclusive, or the next TRU exclusive would be a G1 reissue or Movie redeco, but there's no telling.

    At this point, I think I'm more interested in the JP Skywarp deco, so I guess I'll just wait and see if there will ever be a JP Thundercracker in the same deco style, and if not, then I just won't have me some Animated Seekers.

    Which is why I said, "the TFA line is TRU exclusive for now."
