Hello, please let me explain: I live in Chile where the transformer selection is expensive and pretty limited. I've had to order some figures in the past to get things like animated purple Shockwave or masterpiece Skywarp. It turns out my brother is going to the USA next week for some business, and I'd like to ask him for a couple of transformers. I don't know how much space will he have, so I'll limit it to a couple of deluxes or one voyager at most.

So, what I need to know is, what are the best figures in stock this month (in your preference, of course)? Keep in mind that I pretty much like all toylines, and that he will be staying in the Washington DC area. I's like to know what deluxes or voyager would you recommend.

Do they still have drift in stores? How about Darkmount? I understand figures like Generations Lugnut and Thunderwing aren't in stores yet? Just how big is MP grimlock's box exactly?

Just tell me what are your currently-in-stock favorites (no larger than voyager), I'd really appreciate it.

Drift is easily availible. Outside of wave 1 stuff, seems later stuff is hard to find. I've only seen wave 2 once in my area.

Advice: Have your brother take things out of the package. He'll be able to bring a lot of stuff back that way compared to using up all the room for packaged items.

Hmm it's true... that might also help in detecting QC problems, it'd be a bitch if they got here and they were messed up, heheh...

I almost forget! : Is Rodimus Minor still too hard to find?

What are the best figures out right now? that answer is entirely up to the person buying them as everyone likes/dislikes certain TF toys.

my personal favorites out right now in stores/online are as follows:
    Blurr,dirge,tomahawk,terradive,highbrow.

A good fellow directed me to the DC sightings subforum; I had completely forgotten about that, so I'll give that a read too!

MP Grimlock's box is bigger than Voyager size. He's also not trivial to find.

The most awesome toys out now IMO are Cybertronian Soundwave and Straxus/Darkmount, but that's because I like the characters. If you prefer Autobot cars, it's hard to go wrong with Blurr and Red Alert, or Drift if you like swords.

You mean Blurr is in stores already? wow, good to know.

How about Banzaitron? I missed on Bludgeon and I think he's got nice colors. Some stores have him here but at double the price or more.

Banzaitron is great, I personally like the character more, I'd totally do away with boxes to get maybe a couple of deluxes and a voyager...

In that case, my top picks in order of awesomeness 1 being the best:
    1) Darkmount
    2) Drift/Blurr(swords or guns)
    3) cant go wrong with Banzaitron, he is readily available and is an awesome toy.

OR one MP Grimlock to go, without packaging, the box makes it significantly bigger. I found a few here in FL two weeks ago... so there ya go.

And if you missed out I'm seeing a lot more Mindwipes around, easily my fave Deceptijet.

You definitely picked a good time to be picking up transformers. Lots of cool stuff out there at retail as opposed to about 3 months ago. I agree with most of what has already been mentioned in the thread.

MP Grimlock. Take him out of the box if you have to.

Besides him, I'd say all of the WFC toys. Prime, Bumblebee, Megatron, and Soundwave. If you don't have them, I'd say Dirge and Thrust too, but that's just because I want all the seekers.

    Leader Class Starscream
    Drift
    Darkmount
    Tomahawk
    Bombshock with Combaticons
    Smolder with Chopster
    Brimstone
    Cybertronian Megatron

All of those are more or less readily available (the later wave Generations and HFTD stuff is a bit harder to come by) and all well worth a purchase.

Well, most of the great toys have already been recommended. However, I'd like to throw in a nomination for HftD Insecticon. Really fun little guy, with a great robot mode (which I wasn't initially expecting because the insect mode is the 'main' mode).

Saying no larger than Voyager takes the best one out of contention (Leader Starscream), but other than that:

    Legends Ravage

Scout Breacher (I'm amazed this guy hasn't been mentioned more)

    Deluxes:
War for Cybertron Megatron and Optimus Prime
    Battle Blades Bumblebee
    Animated Rodimus Minor
    Drift

    Voyager Battle Blades Optimus Prime
