I have the Skyfall version of this mold, and I'm doing a head replacement on it that will require the neck to be removed. The easiest way to do this would be to separate the chest and back sections of the torso so I can get at the sliding piece in the middle. This is especially important as I'd like to retain the functionality of the electronics if at all possible.

However, I don't seem able to separate the torso pieces. Either there are screws I can't access or it's held together in a way I have yet to figure out. The screws I can see are in the following locations: one behind the neck, two under each armpit, one for each door of the battery compartments, and two behind the crotch. There is also one inside the neck cavity when you pull the inner section down, that I don't have the proper tool to remove. Removing all other screws doesn't seem to be enough anyway, as it also seems to have tabs somewhere near the edges of the wings, but they refuse to separate.

For those of you who have worked with this mold (and I did search the Radicons forums first to see if anyone detailed this, with no luck), can you offer any tips or suggestions? I'd really appreciate it! The head swap I intend to do is simple enough, it's just this part that's tripping me up.

This is the mold in question:

i took 2 of these apart a long time ago and I think you have to take apart the whole backpack to get all the screws out. It is a bitch to do it without messing up the electronics but it CAN be done. I combined both color schemes of this figure to make a custom masterforce Hydra out of it and just checked, all the electronics do still work.

Hello. I'm new here, been a long time lurker, but I saw your post and joined to answer your question. The Universe Silverbolt mold has two very elusive screws that can be found in the screw holes of the battery covers. Once you remove the screws and covers, there are two more screws in the same holes underneath, one on each side. They are very small, hard to see, and will not come out, but unscrewing them will allow you to separate the chest halves. Hope this helps!

Ah, thank you both so much!! I was able to fully disassemble it. The way the neck piece is put together is going to make this custom a little more difficult than I thought, since the plastic is so thin, but I think it'll work out.

Just taking one of these apart to scavenge for a custom. Would've never found those screws without you, many thanks.
