    Hey all

I just picked up a large collection of recent TF toys and I am hopeless with the parts

I am trying to complete an Energon Superion Maximus and I seem to have different coloured parts

What are the purple parts for? Are they for the Japanese version or something? Seems strange as the collection had a bagged up Superion with these parts below in 2 very different colours!

I know the light blue ones are the "correct" parts, so what are the purple ones from? Another version or just a variation?

Also which round chip things are the correct ones?

    Pics below

The five-point star Energon chips are the correct version for Superion. The others belong to either Bruticus or Constructicon Maximus. I'm not sure why you have five Superion stars though, because only the basic combiner parts came with stars, not the deluxe team leaders (Storm Jet).

I think the darker color parts are from the Transformers Club free figures Skyfall and Breakaway to be exact.

I have the Superlink Superion (Takara) and my brother have the Energon Superion Maximus (Hasbro).

The dark purple energon stars and weapons/hands/foot = Takara Superlink Superion.

The pale blue/blue energon stars and weapons/hands/foot = Hasbro Energon Superion Maximus.

Perhaps the previous owner had both sets, but when sold off them, sold a mixed set of parts. It would depend on how exactly you got them in the first place.

    Only differences are in color.

Some color differences, also most Hasbro Energon versions of the figures have a "Powerlinx/Gear" logo painted on them somewhere, while the Takara Superlink ones do not.

Just a head's up...the Universe/RoTF Superion's parts are all different colours as well...none of the parts are the same colour, so you have a different colour for each "hand" and foot. Plays hell on the symmetry.
