Clearly we’re both misreading our arguments.

I keep trying to say that we, other customers, need to do something to change retailer policies that somehow allow other customers to fradulently return toys, and then allow those toys to make it back into shelves.

 

Maybe we are. Truce.

We as have no legal recourse, as consumers, for what is simply an inconvenience to return a toy. That inconvenience does not equate to being damaged.

All we can do is complain, but retailers already have policies in place about returns; they are the victims that have been damaged in return fraud situations. Or, if they charge the manufacturer back, Hasbro is the victim of retailers policies if they choose not to dispute the chargeback.
